What a great day to cry myself to sleep
Hi! Can I request a Camilo x reader (she/her) were they start dating but Pepa is sooo protective of her son and kind of suspicious of Y/n but as time pass she starts liking her a lot and their relationship get better ? (Can I also have Camilo's reaction to this situation? ) Sorry if I made some English mistakes, and Thank you!!💕
I think i bring enough Angst lmao, lets continue with the fluff Call me mother Camilo Madrigal x fem!reader - This boy is clearly his mother's favorite; have you seen how he interacts with her? For real, he's a total gentleman. He's probably a mama's boy, no more explanations.
- Okay, now! It's only reasonable in such a situation when she becomes protective of her baby and he has a girlfriend! She'll keep an eye on you like a hawk, and she'll probably drag Felix along with her so she can spy on you.
"Look! She's obviously burying something! She's suspicious, I told you!"
"Mi vida, that's a tree she's planting; please come back home."
- If you and Camilo were on a date, expect a little thunder here and there. She's not angry or rude toward you, I swear; she's only worried about her baby boy. But when Camilo returned home, still dizzy with joy and drunk on the kisses you gave him, she adored the smile he wore. She will, nevertheless, ask him questions here and there:
"Did she do anything to hurt you, Camilo?"
"Mami, the only thing she did a long time ago was steal my heart, and as a bad cop, I opted to let her have it ever since."
- However, as time passed, with you always attempting to prove how genuine your feelings are and Camilo by your side, proving to his mother how perfect your relationship is, she began to accept you with her heart.
- The first hint is that everytime you greet her, a rainbow appears over her head, and she invites you to taste something she just cooked with Julietta. And seeing your face light up at the arepas made her realize how much you resemble her son, and she knew Camilo had made the right choice.
- The second sign is that she occasionally asks Camilo when the next date is. She liked how Camilo would act confident about it at times, forecasting what would happen on the next date, and then he'd become overwhelmed and start stumbling over his own words and hiding his face in his ruana. When that happened, she'd smile because knowing that one person could bring out so many of his features made her love (Y/n) even more. - The third and last signal is that she asked you to dinner that one occasion, and Camilo can finally breathe a sigh of relief when he realizes Pepa has finally accepted you. But what surprised the whole family was that when you arrived and offered her with your gift to express your thanks, she smiled brightly and boldly declared to the Madrigals:
" CAN SOMEONE BRING MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW TO THE TABLE?"
Camilo was about to do that when he choked on his drink and coughed like crazy, leaving you a flustered mess to Antonio, who acts he didn't hear anything and adds a word to his big brother's suffering:
"Sister-in-law, let's go."
Camilo nearly passed out on the floor.
- That entire evening was agony for Camilo, since everytime Pepa needed something at the table, she merely kept calling (Y/n)'s new nickname over and again. "Could you maybe hand me some napkins, my dearest daughter-in-law?"
"Ye-Yes! Tia Pepa –"
"No, call me mom."
Mirabel and Isabela try hard not to laugh, and even Abuela Alma finds it amusing. Dolores just patted (Y/n)'s shoulder as she covered her face in her hands, too overwhelmed by the new name. While Camilo was tortured by Felix's teasing.
"Someday, Camilo, she'll call me Father-in-law as well."
"Papa, please..."
- But, hey! Pepa is now one of your sidekicks, so tell her to kick your boyfriend's ass whenever you want!
I love this movie, and these characters, Disney where's the series
I really need more of you people to undestand that both…
- Abuela Alma loved her family and home but was still terrified of losing everything again after years of no real way to handle her trauma.
- The way Abuela Alma treated the family was hurtful and put way too much pressure on her children and grandchildren.
… can and should co-exist. She clearly loves her family, but she made mistakes.
I miss Alan and Helen😭😭
my hands, your bones
No one can tell me this isn't the cutest thing ever
