Next im gonna explain where he got his scars, it's gonna be a little graphic, so don't read past here if you're sensitive to that

His scars are the mixed result of bullying and fighting his dad- the 'oy' his right hand is bc of someone carving 'garmaboy' into his forearm with a rusty knife, and the facial scar is from someone throwing a broken glass bottle at him in the street. The one on his left hand is bc he fucked up his wrist in a fight and opened up a huge gash. He probably just failed miserably to throw a sword at garmadon's mech to disable it, and ended up with it in his wrist.

In order to spread trans acceptance people now push the gender norms back into boxes.

Now if a character has problems with gender it's because they are trans. And not because there are still problems with gender that shouldn't be ignored.

Now if a person doesn't look like a 'typical girl' and a 'typical boy' they are labeled as trans, ignoring that gender presentation is not connected to gender identity.

I GET it, trans need attention and care. That doesn't mean it's okay to push others out, shoo them into boxes to give more space for transgenders.

to me the HTTYD remake is one of the more egregiously offensive of the live action remakes (alongside the lion king). you know the people who storyboarded and animated the original aren't getting any kind of residuals, and this "new" version is beat for beat, shot for shot. i don't even really think the general public believes the narrative that something being animated means it's not worthwhile until it's remade in live action, it is exclusively greedy studio execs hoping to milk every dollar out of every propped-up, mangled corpse of "IP" they own. it is insulting on so many fronts

Choke. Just think about it, seriously. Think about what choking is and imagine speaking while it’s happening. That would fuckin’ hurt, man.

Hiss. Look, it’s just not possible, okay? No matter how “evil” you want your character to seem.

Snarl. Animals snarls. The Beast from Beauty and the Beast snarls. The Hulk snarls. You know who doesn’t snarl? PEOPLE WHEN THEY’RE SPEAKING.

Shriek. Come on, 99% of the time, “shriek” is not the word you want.Let’s face it: if you put an exclamation point at the end of the sentence, your reader gets the picture. Don’t bring to mind banshees and screaming toddlers.

Sneer. I’m not even going to bother explaining this one. “SNEER” ISN’T EVEN A SOUND.
