Something that people seem to have no conception of, unless they've experienced it themselves, is how fucking isolating it is to not be able to eat a lot of foods that most people can eat.
"People with allergies just shouldn't go out to eat, because it's selfish to make your allergies other people's problem."
Humans like to eat. Humans like to eat when they hang out. Humans go out to eat to hang out. Eating is incredibly important in social situations. It's just a thing that we do. Not being able to eat in these situations is incredibly fucking isolating.
I remember being a kid, sitting in one of my social groups, watching them all eat pizza, alone, while I got nothing, because my social group leader forgot to get me something to replace it. Again.
And this shit still happens to me, even now.
Disabled people deserve to experience luxuries just like everyone else, including going out to eat. Safely.
Idk if you’re familiar with The Gold-Painted Child, but if you wanted to draw something from it, I’d really appreciate it. There are so many good scenes that if you’ve read it I’m sure you’ll have one in mind- I mean, I assume, maybe it’s trash and I’m biased, but anyway.
I’d absolutely love to see any images of Hunter post-op. There’s one scene where he wakes up with an IV in his hand and his lack-of eye wrapped up, and he’s lying in kings pile of stuffed animals.
If any of the medical stuff is too icky for you, or you just don’t wanna, it’s ok. I just figured I’d ask.
Aaaaaaaaaaah !!! My son's gonna be so happy after his top surgery!!!! He can finally wearing a shirt without a binder !!! /;w;/

More fun facts about ancient Celtic marriage laws: There were no laws against interclass or interracial marriage, no laws against open homosexual relationships (although they weren’t considered ‘marriages’ since the definition of a marriage was ‘couple with child’), no requirement for women to take their husband’s names or give up their property, but comedians couldn’t get married
I love this funky dude so much!! Hes so gender btw.

to me the HTTYD remake is one of the more egregiously offensive of the live action remakes (alongside the lion king). you know the people who storyboarded and animated the original aren't getting any kind of residuals, and this "new" version is beat for beat, shot for shot. i don't even really think the general public believes the narrative that something being animated means it's not worthwhile until it's remade in live action, it is exclusively greedy studio execs hoping to milk every dollar out of every propped-up, mangled corpse of "IP" they own. it is insulting on so many fronts
“You know…”
“Sometimes I’d wonder if I’d ever really been free in the first place.”
“If outside wasn’t just something I’d made up inside my head.”
“If the Inbetween wasn’t all there was.”
“It all just kept getting blurrier and blurrier until I started to wonder if any of it had ever been real.”
