When people ask me why I’m converting to Judaism, a year into the entire process of it all, I just mumble “I dunno, just feels like I’ve always been here, been home.”

Then I pause and consider for a minute-

“But mostly because of the challah.”

I don't know how many fucking times we need to say it but going after random Jews, targeting Holocaust memorials, and protesting outside of synagogues is not going to do anything to help Palestine. It is antisemitism, plain and simple, and if you are not horrified by it you have some serious fucking biases to unpack.

Without going into too many personal details, my chronic illness has prevented me from attending my shul for over a month now. I miss my community so bad. It’s so hard to feel engaged while watching service livestreams. I just want to be in the building again, with my friends.
