this shouldn't be a controversial opinion, but every single jew should be open and safe to discuss all types of antisemitism they receive. yes, even the jews you dont like. even the ones you think couldn't possibly experience those problems are allowed to talk about it. you are not the only person who exists, meaning that your morals do not dictate how everyone else thinks. so, let jewish people talk about antisemitism. even if you cant understand it, let us have a space to just talk about it.
My friend has a Janakh.
I don't know how many fucking times we need to say it but going after random Jews, targeting Holocaust memorials, and protesting outside of synagogues is not going to do anything to help Palestine. It is antisemitism, plain and simple, and if you are not horrified by it you have some serious fucking biases to unpack.

Yes, today is Rosh Hashana 5785 Rosh Hashanah is the first day of the Jewish year. Observances include the sounding of the shofar, a ram’s horn, baking the challah into a circular loaf to signify the cyclical nature of the year, and using the greeting “L’shanah tovah”, which means “To a good year”. Rosh Hashanah begins the High Holidays, which culminates in Yom Kippur, the day of atonement.
Hi! This is literally not what Kamala Harris said at all.
Here is what she DID say:
On Oct. 7, Hamas, a terrorist organization, slaughtered 1,200 Israelis. Many of them young people who were simply attending a concert. Women were horribly raped. And so absolutely, I said then, I say now, Israel has a right to defend itself. We would. And how it does so matters. Because it is also true far too many innocent Palestinians have been killed. Children, mothers. What we know is that this war must end. It must when, end immediately, and the way it will end is we need a cease-fire deal and we need the hostages out. And so we will continue to work around the clock on that. Work around the clock also understanding that we must chart a course for a two-state solution. And in that solution, there must be security for the Israeli people and Israel and in equal measure for the Palestinians. But the one thing I will assure you always, I will always give Israel the ability to defend itself, in particular as it relates to Iran and any threat that Iran and its proxies pose to Israel. But we must have a two-state solution where we can rebuild Gaza, where the Palestinians have security, self-determination and the dignity they so rightly deserve.

"you should be at the club" incorrect "you should be at pirate weekend at the renn fair" well this we cannot refute.
Please try to find happiness.
I've seen so many of my jewish friends and people I look up to falling into despair, and I completely understand why. I feel that pull, too. But we must hold onto life. We must live, too.
I think what helps me in not feeling guilt over this is to know that judaism demands you live, as well, knowing that I will be useless as a community member if I myself am despondent and apathetic to life itself. I know this may not help everyone, but please remember, we must live. You deserve it.
Do good in their name.
Every day I think about how I opened up to a friend about a threat that was sent to my synagogue, and her initial response was confusion, followed by a statement that whoever sent the threat should know that “Judaism is not the same as zionism.”
I’ve never felt more scared realizing that people I know and work with could rationalize threats of attacks at local American synagogues if the synagogue was ✨Zionist✨
And I think about it all the time, because that was supposed to be a statement of comfort in her mind. With the implication was that I was a good, non Zionist conversion student and had nothing to worry about.
It’s not that people can be grossly antisemitic. Their intention and values were just aimed at the wrong place?? 🤨🙄
I know this isn’t a new line of thinking. But it was jarring to hear it said to my face.
i’m at a party right now and i heard someone on a walkie talkie and i turned around and it’s a mom who left her kids home on their own for the first time ever (they’re old enough) and they live a few houses down so she gave them a walkie talkie to call her if they get nervous. they just walkietalkied her for permission to eat ice cream
