For the witches and pagans who need to hear it, connecting with nature is supposed to be about like, actually observing nature over long periods of time, not doing stuff like hoarding endangered bird feathers and beach sand, or just meditating out in aesthetically-pleasing locations. Can you tell me exactly when your wildflowers and weeds start blooming? When do your bugs come out of hibernation? When do migratory birds come and go? How does the air feel during different times of year? If you can't do stuff like that, you aren't connecting with nature.

Here Is An Introduction Spread For All Your Tarot Decks! It's A Great Way To Get To Know Your Decks.

Here is an introduction spread for all your tarot decks! It's a great way to get to know your decks. This way you know which deck to use when you are doing something specific or important.

You will definitely find out the personality of your decks.

I have one that is very vindictive, ruthless, and loves revenge. I have another that will give me multiple answers to a question because it wants to make sure I have options. And another that says we are best friends and it will do anything for me to make me happy. Not lie, but as in show me the tools to make it happen.

I record mine in my tarot journal. This way I can thumb through and see which deck I need.

Every time you get a new tarot deck, can you feel the jealousy of your older decks? I sure can! And they don't like being kept near each other! I feel the energy in the air from them all. It's funny at times.

Every time I grab my favorite deck, I feel it's energy, like it's gloating! 😆 🤣 😂 I also feel sadness from the others!

Can you feel the energy from your tarot decks? Have you determined if your deck has a female or male energy?

The Woman Behind The World’s Most Famous Tarot Deck Was Nearly Lost In History

The Woman Behind The World’s Most Famous Tarot Deck Was Nearly Lost In History

For centuries, people of all walks of life have turned to tarot to divine what may lay ahead and reach a higher level of self-understanding.

The cards’ enigmatic symbols have become culturally ingrained in music, art and film, but the woman who inked and painted the illustrations of the most widely used set of cards today – the Rider-Waite deck from 1909, originally published by Rider & Co. – fell into obscurity, overshadowed by the man who commissioned her, Arthur Edward Waite.

The Woman Behind The World’s Most Famous Tarot Deck Was Nearly Lost In History

Now, over 70 years after her death, the creator Pamela Colman Smith has been included in a new exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York highlighting many underappreciated artists of early 20th-century American modernism in addition to famous names like Georgia O’Keeffe and Louise Nevelson.

To Witches Who Are Going Back to School

For those in the broom closet, or for those who are open, for baby witches and for the experienced, here are some back to school witch tips to help your school year be magical and spectacular <3

Draw sigils on assignments for good grades/to have your teacher appreciate your work, scratch them out really hard/fast or erase them to charge.

Charm your lip balm to be persuasive, or to be heard!

Draw a tarot card in the morning to see what you should be aware of for the day, or what you need to work on for the day.

Stir your morning tea or coffee counter-clockwise to rid bad energy, and stir clockwise to bring in good energy, luck, and any other sort of positive intention.

If you have a binder that acts as a book of shadows, place sigils on them to keep wandering eyes away.

Glamours, glamOURS, GLAMOURS!!!!! They work so well if you’re running late. I like to mumble them to myself and mediate on Rose Quartz when I’m in a rush.

Eat small snacks to keep yourself grounded, and don’t forget to breathe after each class. Trust me, I know it can get frustrating with obnoxious people.

Charm talismans/amulets/bracelets to help you be on time/remember your homework.

Put satchets in your lockers/decorate your locker to make it a little safe space or school-friendly altar.

Keep the list going! I started school Monday and I’m eager to see what else witches can do for school!

practical guide to intuitive reading.

grab a collection of something. stones, cards, colours etc. use whatever you have.

shuffle them around.

pick out three.

look at the first one. who is the little guy? give it a name, a character arc, a story element, a real element. give it a list of associations.

now look at the second one. who is this?

and the third too.

now look at the order. what happens when you tell the story start to finish? fill in the blanks.

write it down, or voice record it. tell the story. make it funny, or dramatic, or emotional. give it feeling, and oomf.

what does this story say about you? what kind of person must the narrator of such a story be? do you like that person?

you can read anything, because the story comes from you. humans are just stories in flesh.

eight years into my spirituality and I finally know what they mean when people talk about raising energy.

To raise energy you must get completely out of your mind. You must get into your body, into the present moment, forget time exists. It's about getting to a place and a mindset where you're simply just doing, being, not thinking.

And it cannot be forced. For years I've tried sitting, meditating, willing energy into objects or worse, into the world in general, and found it doesn't work.

Whether you get there by dancing in the shower, by meditating, by allowing yourself to feel an emotion viscerally, it doesn't matter. It just matters that you're not thinking.

And you can literally feel it. To me it feels like a blood rush to the head, my arms will usually raise above my head on instinct, and my face smiles. It feels like a shot of b12. It tingles.

Then the energy just moves with nothing more than a thought, an impulse, a desire. It just becomes. It just is.

I think that 2023 is a good time for many of us, and allies in particular, to practice again the dying art of minding our own fucking business when it comes to the identities and lives of other people.

You see someone from one of your classes in a public place with a different gender presentation/expression than they typically have? Mind your own business.

You discover that one of your coworkers is in a same gender relationship, but they aren't out at work? Not your place to share that information in the workplace.

You notice that your neighbor in a red state takes a road trip across state lines with their transgender child every 3-6 months? No you fucking didn't.

You overhear students in your classroom using a different name and different pronouns for one student than you are used to using? If you live in a state hostile to trans rights, pretend that you don't know anything about this and report nothing.

You suspect that an acquaintance of yours might be gay, but they deny it when asked directly? Leave them the fuck alone.

One of your friends refuses to publicly label their sexuality? Good for them, you aren't entitled to that information anyway.

Your sibling comes out to you as questioning, but isn't comfortable sharing that with your parents yet? Keep your fucking mouth shut.

Don't out people; coming out is a personal choice not a moral obligation. Don't demand personal information about other people's sexuality or sex lives. You aren't entitled to information about anyone's gender identity, assigned gender at birth, or transition.

Bring back privacy, allow people to have control over the information that is shared about them publicly; it might save their job, their housing, their parental rights and their child's safety, or even save lives.
