My name is Mahmoud Yassin, a Palestinian from Gaza, I am 28 years old. My family of five and I were forced to flee our home in northern Gaza after it was destroyed by war. We are now living in a bombed-out house that was bombed over our heads, struggling daily to survive without shelter, food or medical care. What breaks my heart the most is that my 3-month-old baby has been injured in the feet as shown in the pictures, and the lack of necessary treatment. it’s horrible to say but it’s never been a better time for scam artists to exploit your generosity, when things seem so dire, and I’ve donated to campaigns before only to realise later that the entire story was stolen from an actual family in need. due diligence might take a few more minutes out of your day but at least you won’t be sending money to an opportunistic scumbag.
