“I think the central storyline, a love story, if you want, is between the two central characters - Watson and Holmes”

Sherlock: You’re going out tonight.
John: Yes, actually-
Sherlock: Your hair is combed, a subtle dab of gel, clearly used so that the wind won’t dishevel your hair. You’ve recently shaved, probably right before walking into the room, since there are clear signs of reddening around the lips, cheeks, and chin.
John: Sherlock-
Sherlock: You are nicely dressed, though thats saying something because you are always kept together, but this is different. You are wearing an expensive dress shirt, clearly just bought due to the fact you forgot to remove the tag. You’re also wearing a suit jacket, which you don’t wear often, you mostly wear jackets or coats. Your trousers are ironed, which means you went to a lot of trouble to look nice.
John: Yes, but-
Sherlock: *sniffing* You are wearing cologne, the one you only wear on a special occasion. Its a date, then.
John: Yes, okay, fine. But-
Sherlock: Vague smell of mouth wash. Don’t want to have bad breath. Extra precautions. Wow, she must be special.
John: *completely exasperated* I made reservations.
Sherlock: Obviously.
John: For us.
Sherlock:
Sherlock:

Sherlock:
Sherlock: You mean?
John: Yes.
Sherlock: Oh.

Hi :) I'm quite new to this fandom and I don't really get what's with the gay bar scene... Was it released and then deleted? Has anyone ever saw it? Is it going to be shown to us one day? 0_0 You probably know more than me on this :p (Also I heard a thing about an alternative pilot or wtv...?)
Ok. From the beginning then.
The gay bar scenes are the fandom’s headcanon, there is a strong belief there are some scenes which were shot in a gay bar during filming season 3 - when John and Sherlock went on a pub crawl during John’s stag night. Nobody saw them though and they were not released anywhere.
During setlock for series 3 there was one pic of Martin Freeman that led to an assumption that they were going to make a gay bar scene:
It was not setlock, however but rather a sort of tease. You can read more here
Also, there was a whole speculation about how some scenes from the pub crawl are visually suggesting bisexuality, you have a comprehensive descritpion of this here.
Now about the Pilot, if you haven’t watched it yet, go and do it now. It’s an absolute must :-)
Watch online: Unaired Sherlock Pilot
It was the never aired, first version of A Study in Pink to be shown to the BBC before they decided to do it. And it’s hella gay.
When the day comes that you have a big detective show where the first half hour was this man at work, and he’s a maverick, and all the usual things… and then he went home and his boyfriend says, ‘Are you alright?’… then something will have genuinely changed. — Mark Gatiss
