This isn’t the first time Arthur has thought about this. For the past few months, no matter where he is, his thoughts keep going back to images of Charles. They started out innocently enough, Charles laughing with their friends or him being sweet on his horse. But more recently, these images have shifted from the mundane to more provocative visuals.

I was taking picture of Charles (for personal reasons) and then, I noticed...

Did he do enough? Did he see enough, make up enough for all those terrible things he did so blindly? He tried so hard to be good towards the end. He tried so hard to be happy in this life, yet it only hurts now.

He wants to be happy again.

Arthur is found on the brink of death by Charles and despite his injuries and sickness, survives miraculously long enough to see a few doctors and visit Rains Fall. The few remaining members of the gang attempt to heal alongside Arthur, but the damage has been done and nerves are stretched thin as they try to move on from their past.
