I know I’m a little late to this one, with Carlee Russell.

It’s sickening that when a young, conventionally attractive nursing student goes “missing” and is revealed to be faking, we still give her sympathy and care that should go to women who are in true peril. It’s sickening that 64000+ black women are missing and nobody put the same time, care or effort into finding them or sharing their stories.

These are people’s sisters, daughters, friends, wives, cousins, colleagues, these are women with lives and communities and hopes and dreams. The sad reality? So shockingly many of these women will never be found alive. They’ll never come home. They won’t get to come home on their own volition like Carlee did, they won’t get to go home safe and sound. Their stories won’t get the same coverage that Carlee got. Say their names, remember their faces and share their stories.

Carlee was in no shadow of a doubt struggling with something to fabricate her own abduction. I wish she found another way to deal with it, instead of this.

One woman’s fabrication took so many resources from women who truly needed them. It’s sick.

Hey tumblr peeps

I know this different from what I usually post and doesn’t mean I’m leaving the movement for Iran at all. I just want to know would a musical version Better Off Dead be good and yes I know Dan Schneider who is problematic acted in it but he’s not the reason I want to make a musical for it. Because this movie has the potential to be an amazing musical and so many musical numbers so I would just like some feedback if it would be a good idea to write.

This is absolutely painful to watch. These are the beautiful, brave Iranians who have died at the hands of the Islamic Republic, from Neda to Nika. There  are thousands more loving, kind, courageous, hopeful, selfless women, men, girls and boys who are being detained, kidnapped, tortured and murdered at this moment by the hands of the Islamic Republic.

Enough, is enough!
