The mech and dragon are Kai’s immoral support.
Oh yeah definitely. Very off topic but I see the mech as Athena and the dragon as poseidon (in a less muderey way)
I can't blame them though. You need to harden yourself if you want to survive in hell. Kai just got lucky he found the bounty before he truly lost himself and became a monster
Kai after he gets home, looking in the mirror and just. Practicing.
His smile. His laugh. His quips. Practicing how to seem like himself so Lloyd doesn’t worry.
Being in the Ninjago fandom means leaving the Ninjago fandom so you dont get spoiled about leaked seasons from the Ninjago fandom
OHHHH THATS GENIUS WAIT
No u fr cooked with that
I'd love to add that with your permission!
Very rough outline of my monstrosity au. I call it Odyssey!Kai. Yes it's an epic the musical pun. I'm very happy with it
Oooo been thinking about this for a hot minute. Was in my drafts for longer.
In this one, Kai doesn't find the bounty. Nya does. So she finds Lloyd first and traverses the merged lands for information. This, of course, creates irreparable damage to our boy. He does not go home early this time.
The imperium arc goes different too, Lloyd getting sentimental seeing Wyldfyre, her being fire adjacent and all. After they get back to the Monastery, Zane actually becomes Wyldfyres mentor. The reason is that he finds her endearing and sees himself in her (not knowing who you are or where you came from). I have concept art rotting in my gallery, but it's not done yet sowy.
S2 has 4 major changes. Wyldfyre is slightly calmer, Lloyd has visions of both the bloodmoon and a mysterious figure cloaked in fur and blood (that he can't help but feel pain for, he doesn't know why), Nya learns dragon rising technique first, and Cole gets sacrificed instead of Kai. Besides that, mostly the same. Maybe they struggle a bit with the Ras showdown, but it ends the exact same way with Nokt free.
S2 p2 has the most differences. For one, Geo and the finders live with the ninja now. He feels guilty for letting Cole 'die' like that, so he's thrown himself into training.
Next, Cole isn't doing that bad in the ns. He's got bonzle, and enough stories to last a lifetime. He's fine.
Zane and Wyldfyre bond more. He tells her about Kai, and how they'd get along, and she is ecstatic. Another fire user, how exciting!
Arin and sora are still looking for his parents. Still find the matriarch.
Meanwhile, Kai has all but lost it. He isn't insane, but his morals have all but been destroyed. The only thing he cares about is getting back to his family, and anything and anyone that comes in between that has died or burned to death. The guardian dragon and fire knight mech are his permanent companions, and respect his decision to change his values. One cannot survive being in the land of the monsters without becoming one themselves, anyway.
The tournament of sources plays out the exact same. Although, when Jay and Nya fight, he actually comes very close to winning. That is, until a fire ball the size of a car chucks Jay into the nearest wall.
When the source dragons send out those little messages for each elemental master, Kai actually gets one since he hasn't encountered ras yet. The messenger dragon leads him out of the realm of monsters, but it's still pretty far. He gets there, but it takes a day or two. Or three. That's why he's late.
The reunion is short-lived, as he's arrested for interfering with a match. At least attempted to. You cant really try when He destroys all the bots faster than you can blink. Oh yeah, the guardian dragon and fire knight mech are there too. So.
He beelines to Nya, hat and mask coming off, and they hug in a mess of limbs on the floor. Theres sobbing, and its not from the girl I'll tell you.
That's all I have so far. Will update hehehehe
Saw a ninjago post with a tag that I said "I love continuity!!" And that's my answer whenever someone asks me if the shows I watch have plotholes
the minifigure monstrosity suit thsi is so fire 🔥🔥
@rusted-fairy-wings
Why thank you :3 I try
Thinking about Kai's fighting style in the realm of monsters, and how creative he had to get whenever he was (on the rare occasions) fighting without Rusty or Daidan to help him.
All of those monsters are impossibly bigger than him, and he needs to use something to hoist himself up in order to actually reach the head and neck. Him using his fire to heat his soles so it sticks to the skin in a mess of boiling flesh. Using daggers to anchor himself repeatedly to go upwards, then finishing it quickly with a slash to the back of the neck and hoping it falls forward instead of backward.
Then when other monsters gather around the new corpse, littered in a linear pattern of scars and burns, all in a line, same as the other few, a rumor spreads among the half sentient monsters.
A giant centipede of fire and steel, some say.
It finds a victim and coils around it, using its hundreds of legs to constrict it before finishing off in one strike, one says in awe.
It never eats it prey, leaving it to rot on the ground instead to show dominance, another says to its mate.
Even with its size, it's never been seen. It burrows underneath the ground, waiting for a chance to burst out and strike, a mother says to its young. Warning.
And the rumor grows, twisting into something more fantastical. Until one day, a lizard made of rotting wood and bone stumbles upon Kai, right on top of another monster, covered in black blood, catching his breath. The lizard scurries to its nest, and the rumor twists into something closer to the truth.
There is no centipede, it screeches. More gather around it.
It's small, and that's its way of trickery. It hides in plain sight, waiting for something to grow confident. To grow complacent and take its size for weakness.
It moves like no other. In flashes of red and orange and waves of blood and muscle. The fire and shadow are fond of this one, always hovering around it. Keeping it unseen.
Its eyes are as hollow as the abysmal ocean, devoid of mercy. Any it sees are guaranteed death, and those it spares are left mangled. Dying of their injuries. It never eats, never takes, only kills in slashes of flame and iron. It was never seen until now, no name it holds either.
After the rumor spreads further, more seeing the nameless monster in person, Kai develops a title. A warning for the ones who know it. There are many, some still calling it the fire centipede, another calling it the killer of giants, but there is one name that has gained popularity. That has made its way into the stories of every mother whispering to their young.
And now, when Kai pulls out his sword in a blaze of yellow and red, he finds that some scurry away. Screeching something he swore he could make out.
Fire Demon, they scream in fear, running off. Fire Demon, they cry out, warning others. Fire Demon, they think in horror, as none have survived it.
Fire Demon.
Big fan of when characters who want more than anything to protect the ones they love inevitably fail to do so despite giving it their all
And YES this is about Kai Ninjago what about it
Thinking about how Zane just came up with a plan to gain the trust of the Sons of Garmadon, that involved letting Cole get captured. (Yes, in case it wasn't clear, it was part of this plan to get Cole to sing and put on the "wrong song" to get the spotlight on him.)
And the best part of that plan was... Zane had no plan for rescuing Cole. Zane, the calculating machine, didn't bother to map out an escape plan for Cole. He just fully believed that Cole would be able to escape on his own.
And you know what? Cole did escape on his own, using nothing but his own wit and strength (and terrible singing). And he never bore a grudge against Zane for using him and putting him in danger without even telling him first.
These guys just have 1000% trust in one another and I am here for it.
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH "I have to endure." "I have to continue." "So I can see them again." "I can't lose myself." pfp creds to Kindaasrikal :)
