Help Dr. Osama's family survive death in Gaza

I am Aya Osama Al-Dahdooh, 13 years old. I send you greetings from Gaza City, where I currently live amid a very harsh war. Before the current war on Gaza, my family and I had beautiful dreams, like the dreams of birds and flowers, but the war has destroyed them. My family has lost all the necessities of life.

My family consists of my father, whose name is Osama. He is a doctoral researcher at Leeds American Academy. He owned a professional training center and an accounting office, both of which have been completely destroyed by the war. Throughout his training journey, my father trained thousands of people in Gaza. But today, he has lost his job, his center, and even the house we lived in.

My mother is a nurse named Noura, and I have three siblings: Farah, who is 15, Ubaida, who is 17, and Mohammed, who is 6 years old. Today, we are suffering from intense fear because of the bombing and missiles. We have been displaced from our home 15 times. The war has killed about 200 of my friends, neighbors, and schoolmates. We suffer from chronic illnesses due to malnutrition. The voice of my childhood asks: Why are we exposed to death, hunger, and disease every day?

Our home has been severely damaged and is no longer fit to live in because it’s located in an area with intense firefights. Life in Gaza has become almost impossible, as we are exposed to death, hunger, and disease. For this reason, we wish to leave Gaza and move to a safe country. My family wants to build a new future; we want to learn, dream, play, think, and share in the joys of others.

Time is running out, the war is getting fiercer, and death surrounds us from all sides. We still have hope that you will help us. We hope you will donate to us so we can leave Gaza because travel expenses are very high. My father will re-establish his training center and accounting office as soon as we reach a new location. We will be able to buy healthy food, clean clothes, safe water, and medicine to treat

Whenever I stumble on a video about fandoms and shipping, I often see the "The ____ fandom doesn't need shipping! You can't shipp the characters because of the theme of it!" And I just laugh (dry, yellow) because that's like, so stupid to me?

Okay, the media doesn't focuses on romance, yeah, it might be dark (super dark even) but shipping is much more that just being: "I think I and R should make out and have nasty sex!" It's also giving a whole new depth for the relationship between the characters, creating scenarios to grow even more attached to them, give a new light, maybe an explanation to why you think they are like this in the media they are from, it's stimulating, it's fun and harmless.

I find it crazy how we went from shipping characters that had the same vibe/power/personalities coming from various shows to being firmly against it, and attacking people because they have harmless fun.

Like I said, shipping isn't only "I think I and R should kiss and have intensive sex" It's also "C and J have this bond they can't get rid of, they don't really try to, it's tearing them apart, bringing them closer, causing them to fight, cut and yell, and then hold, and sometimes, it is romantic, other times, it's pure manipulation, a need to keep the other, play pretend until the knife is red again and arms are wrapped around the other with a promise for a change, the other knowing it will never happen, but staying anyway because they want to."

And sometimes, shipping is: "L and L need each other, they could do fine in their life without them, but now that they are here, they'll do everything to make them stay, treat them like a treasure, make them feel seen, cared about. It'll be arms wrapped around each other, exchanging words, stories, pieces from the past they get to make a puzzle on to see the person they're holding in their arms really, the beauty and the ugly."

And yeah, sometimes you just want both your favorite characters to bang the hell out of each other because hey, sex's fun! (probably, idk).

Finally, if the media is dark or we are hitting a rough patch, you cannot be mad at people wanting to seek out happy and silly moments between the characters. Shipping is always welcome to give the happy vibe the media lacks.
