Starflight ✦

Starflight ✦

a little scruffy like a scardycat, but considered pretty and fit looking for a nightwing of his era. Starflight was hatched on the brightest night hidden from moonlight, so in my design, while they are visible- his stars, tears and the moons on his wings do not glow like on other nightwings, but are darker!

as a librarian he wears a moonstone chain with beads for each of his friends and always has a wooden tablet as his scroll on hand. i imagine he would wear some kind of wrapping to protect his eyes to light sensitivity post injury, but he doesnt need it all the time.

Starflight ✦

im not sure how long it's gonna take me to make them digital and post them but i have all my tribe headcannons already planned out in my sketchbook. but for now im gonna try to do more protags!

AWWW thank you ahaha,,, <3

What Brush Do You Use, Oh Wonderful Artist?

okey so i've been using FireAlpaca since forever and most of my brushes are default OR from the Bitman brush store and slightly edited here and there! :,> im also a little silly so i named them stupid names like desserts so im NOT SURE what the og names are, but one is like a canvas brush (my thick lineart style) and the other is like a sketch pen i think (my thin line style)

GORJUS i mean gorgus i mean uhhh PERFECT

A digital illustration depicting two characters from the Wings of Fire series - Kinkajou and Moonwatcher. Kinkajou is half-lying on the ground, leaning the back of her neck on Moonwatcher's chest. Both of her front limbs are in the air before her, her left paw holding a few pieces of thin strings with pink beads hanging off them, the right paw is beneath the left one, some of the strings fall onto it. Her wings are fully on the ground, slightly drawn towards her body, her hind legs are in the air, and her tail curls towards the ground in a spiral. She's looking back at Moonwatcher, telling her soemthing. She's a mostly pale yellow dragon, with yellow-orange belly scales and bright pink rectangle scales on her limbs and face. Her wing and frill membranes are also bright pink, with long butterfly-like extensions growing out of their ends. Her head horns are small, they curl upwards. She's wearing a small and simple tied string decor on one of the horns with blue flowers adorning it. On her right shoulder she wears a leather cuff embedded with dark crystal shards, tied with a smaller leather belt at the back.
Moonwatcher sits on her hind legs behind Kinkajou, her tail lies behind her and her wings are half-open. Her left front paw is in the air above Kinkajou's shoulder, she's holding a bunch of gathered strings with a few blue flowers. She's looking down on what Kinkajou is doing. Moonwatcher is a msotly dark grey-green dragon, with slightly brighter green-blue tinded scales on her underbelly, darker, almost black rectangular scales on her limbs, back and tail as well as a brown stripe starting on her forehead and running down her back. She has a bright teardrop shaped scale in the corner of her eye as well as many small bright scales running down the side of her body. Her ears and nose are bright green and bat like in appearance. The horns on her head lean both towards her face and towards her back in a sort of crescent shape. They as well as the rest of her horns running down her spine are bluish in color. Her wing membranes are dark green with small greenish spots resembling stars. She's wearing a weaved flower crown on her forehead, it ties around her horns and back spikes. It's made out of waevd plant stems, pale yellow flowers and red berries. On her neck there's a necklace tied with a big bow on her back, three blue ornaments hang from the lace, shaped like the phases of the moon, with the crescents fully visible.
They are both sitting on a patch of grass, various flowers are visible among the foliage. Underneath the blades of grass remains of an old pathway can be seen. It's nighttime, the sky is almost fully clean with darker clouds visible towards the bottom of the image. The three moons as well as the stars shine brightly against the dark sky. Some stars are connected in barely visible constellations forming three heart shapes.
The whole image is framed by an almost fully black outline, similar to an archaic door portal, with the middle of the image gathered in a dome-shaped space and two vaguely heart-shaped spaces showing only the night sky.
A cropped version of the above picture, showing a close-up of Moonwatcher and Kinkajou, visible only to their chests. Only a part of the nigh sky can be seen

After like 6 months I was finally blessed with the ability to draw Kinkajou and Moon again! Kinkajou teaches Moon how to make Rainwing tied accessories (while Moon holds the materials)

This Is Part 2 Of My WoF Dnd Au, With Another Visualizer. The Next Part Might Take Longer To Make.

this is part 2 of my WoF dnd au, with another visualizer. the next part might take longer to make.

The Silkwing Citadel. Unlike the Hivewings and Leafwings, the Silkwing Citadel is less of a palace and more a center for the Silkwing community. The bottom of the structure is two silk-made towers open to any dragon, supported by bridges made of stretchy, more flexible silk. The top of the structure is a greenhouse split with another silk tower called The Spire, which houses the Silkwing royal family.

The Glass Market: This market is open to all Silkwings to buy and sell from each other. Anything and everything is sold here, but by far, the most commonly sold items are made of silk. Tapestries, clothing, silk jewelry, art pieces, custom statues, construction services, and so on. The stalls in the market change each day, so it is constantly packed with customers from sunrise to sunset. The market gets its name from the colored glass that hangs from the ceiling, suspended by thick threads of silk. Light pours through the windows to create patchwork rainbows that change throughout the day.

The Spinner Conservatory: This area of the Citadel is dedicated to teaching Silkwings how to use their silk. The main audience is dragonets after they've emerged from their cocoons, but dragons of all ages are encouraged to visit. There are dozens of classes, including web working, tapestry weaving, construction building, and many more. The teachers are mainly volunteers, but students are encouraged to donate food and trinkets for their work.

The Silkwing Hatchery: This public hatchery provides a safe, warm, and dry space for any Silkwing to hatch their eggs. The nests are first come, first serve, and are constantly guarded to ensure no egg goes missing.

The Chrysalis: An area in the Citadel dedicated to cocooning. Like the hatchery, this area is first come, first serve, with many branches and perches for dragonets to hang while they cocoon. This area is also heavily gaurded, with extra guards providing safe care for any flamesilks that may cocoon there.

The Western & Eastern Pavillion: Many dragons might think that Silkwings are limited to just silk as their construction material options, but this is not true. For instance, flamesilk (if accurately made) can be used to solder glass. This is how the glass ceiling for the Citadel's pavilions was made. Both contain colored, geometric glass, allowing sunlight to naturally filter through. The Western Pavilion is an open greenhouse filled with decorative and fruit-filled plants. Benches and paved paths line the pavilion for recreation activities. The Eastern Pavillion is much more open, with trees and flowering bushes lining the interior perimeter, while the center remains clear and open for parties, celebrations, and meetings with Leafwing diplomats.

The Spire: Finally, this is where the queen resides, accompanied by her immediate family. The Spire is redecorated whenever a new queen is crowned, usually adorned with fresh tapestries, rugs, and furniture. The current queen, Queen Alexandria, has The Spire beautifully decorated to match her appearance, filling its chambers with dark and malachite green tapestries and paintings, many of which reflect her image.
