Today we took our little son to the hospital because he suffers from a chest infection that affects his breathing and causes him pain. I hope that every living conscience will help us save our young sonβs life and donate any amount you can.
Unfortunately, there is no treatment in the hospital for my young son. Help us before it is too late.

man i don't know how to say this but gazans here are risking their lives to make posts asking for help. they are asking for you to contribute a small amount of money to buy food or medicines or get shelter.
whether we like it or not, we are complicit in this genocide. either because of our silence, or because our tax money if being used to bomb them. i thought that people would be more eager to help gazans, trying to 'reverse' the damage somehow.
contrary to what i thought, people are moving on. they're moving on from the al-shifa hospital strike, they're moving on from refugee camp massacres and from school bombings, they're moving on from dead children and orphaned children.
please don't be indifferent. help my friend alaa amsse [ @alaakh998 ]. she urgently needs money to buy a new tent. she needs medicine for her sick son. her tent was flooded and she needs to buy supplies. please please help her if you have the means to. her fundraiser has been verified by 90-ghost and the butterfly project (#307).

The goal of this blog is to share some of the funds/families in my DMs on IG who may not otherwise be seen here on Tumblr; Each post will have the details of what official groups they've been verified/vetted by- any without official verification has any humanizing details listed so that you can donate using your own discretion. While time is taken to check for the humanity & authenticity of the fundraisers of any posted fund & many i can vouch for via IG live content & stories or chatting- I do not have the resources to be an "official" source of verification. If you are seeking verification or assistance- Please refer to this Post with links to open intake forms for groups verifying Palestinian fundraisers. If I've been tagged, please check their post for another source of official verification- many of the groups are listed below & feel free to ask me about any funds I've been tagged in.
Please consider taking a look through this Tumblr, or any of the official verified fund lists below & supporting a family or person in need!

Hello, My name is Mosab Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and Iβm writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.
The ongoing war has devastated my family. Weβve lost 25 family membersβeach one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeplyβtheir laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.

We are now facing daily challenges to surviveβthings that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.
π Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income. π Basic Needs: Food and water are becoming harder to afford with rising prices and scarce resources. π Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my familyβs dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive. π’ Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.
Iβm sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $5 can make a big difference for us, and if youβre unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.
Your kindness, no matter how small, is something weβll never forget.
Your support is not about changing our entire situationβitβs about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you canβt donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.
Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.
With all our gratitude, Mosab Elderawi and Family β€οΈ

Welcome, Mr. Stampede
I genuinely feel ashamed that all I can do is write words while more and more Arab people die - but momentum for fundraisers is one of very few things any of us can do at the moment
Please donate to the Sameer Project. They are doing amazing work on the ground. Try to do what you can. Sharing and donating as little as 5 dollars can culminate into a big difference. I have enough of a following to know that we can make a truly big difference if this didnβt simply go ignored bc people decided theyβre bored now

entropyalarmΒ said:Β When describing embarrassment, blushing is typically used as an indicator. Iβm white, but I recognize that darker skin tones shouldnβt show blush the same way as lighter tones. My friend, with medium skin, told me it only shows in her nose and ears, felt more as intense heat radiating from her cheeks than a visible color change. What is your insight on handling blushing? I feel this is especially important for proper portrayal of PoCs in romantic situations.
Anonymous said:Β Youβve written some great advice for describing black characters, but I was wondering whether you have any advice for describing a black character blushing? I have face blindness, so Iβm having a lot of trouble with this. (otherwise I could just look up pictures and describe those) So sorry to bother you!
Iβm glad youβve asked. It bothers me how often Iβve heard βBlack people donβt blushβ which only seems to be another way to dehumanize Black people (and defeminize Black women)Β for not possessing this base human reaction, even if itβs not always notably visible.
Everybody blushes. Or rather, can blush. Itβs the physicalΒ actΒ of blood rushing to the face, ears, and other areas of the body; how visible the output doesnβt dictate whether one blushes or not.
While fairness has its part, I think blushing and how visible it is has a lot to do with the individual (some folks have better blood flow) + the undertones within their skin.
Iβm going to steal my undertones chart from the Skin Tone Guide here:
As shown above cool skin colors have undertones that mostly fall under red/pink shades.
Iβve seenΒ dark cool-skinned people with naturally rosy cheeks. I can only imagine when they blush, those reddish undertones are emphasized or brightened.
On the other hand, warm skin is usually in the golden, orange spectrum. Not so much reds. Still that doesnβt mean red coloring doesnβt appear on dark warm skin tones.
I have warm medium skin with golden orange undertones, and I definitely get flushed from extrinsic factors, such as if I exercise hard (I turn a berry-red coloring), plus the winter cold pinkens my nose like Rudolph.
Iβve also had friends call me out on blushing,Β but I canβt tell you exactly how that looks for Iβve never checked a mirror at the time, though I imagine itβs like a slight tinting or an enrichment of the undertones in the skin, brightening them, paired with a βcoral to dark redβ reddening.
In general, though, it can be redundant to constantly refer to blushing to show shyness or embarrassment with characters of any skin tone. It seems blushing is one of those things that happen more often in stories than daily life. Kinda like green eyes.
For variety, also consider these indicators:Β
~Pages from the Emotion Thesaurus, seriously every writer should buy this book 10/10 would recommend.~
To reiterate; dark (cool) skin with red/pink undertones might show blushing more notably than warm skin, as an enhancement of those reddish undertones.Β
Dark (warm) skin without red undertones, more βricheningβ of the undertones with pink to dark reddish coloring as an influence, likely depending on how harshly theyβre blushing.
In any case; if youβre describing the blushing from the characterβs perspective, it makes more sense to focus on heat and sensation.
Followers, any personal experiences or thoughts?

The report Dr. Mordechai has compiled online β "Bearing Witness to the Israel-Gaza War" β constitutes the most methodical and detailed documentation in Hebrew (there is also an English translation) of the war crimes that Israel is perpetrating in Gaza. It is a shocking indictment comprised of thousands of entries relating to the war, to the actions of the government, the media, the Israel Defense Forces and Israeli society in general. The English translation of the seventh, and to date latest version of the text, is 124 pages long and contains over 1,400 footnotes referencing thousands of sources, including eyewitness reports, video footage, investigatory materials, articles and photographs. For example, there are links to texts and other kinds of testimony describing acts attributed to IDF soldiers who were seen "shooting civilians waving white flags, abuse of individuals, captives and corpses, gleefully damaging or destroying houses, various structures and institutions, religious sites and looting personal belongings, as well as randomly firing their weapons, shooting local animals, destroying private property, burning books within libraries, defacing Palestinian and Islamic symbols (including burning Qurans and turning mosques into dining spaces)."

"I wrote this so that in another half-year or in 100 years, people will go back and see that this is what it was possible to know, as early as January, and that those among us who didn't know, chose not to know."
