Actually Speaking Of The Cn Dub My Other Favorite Early Season Episode Is The One Where Yamada Denzou

quirinahscreams rkrn i cant remember WHERE but someone on twt mentioned rikichi wearing a white tuxedo in the canon show and a bunch of my oomfs had a collective meltdown. but yes it is real in a fantasy sequence about denzou forcing rikichi to marry someone and hes in modern wedding attire LOLLLLL also he has his cat with him. i love the scruffy little yamadas cat so much its so cute the cn dubs r so fascinating actually theyre interesting takes on the characters i quote this example a lot but taiwanese and mandarin taki do different things about his character that i think both work like this kind of smooth debonair air to his voice and this like shrill boisterous boys voice and then u have regular taki with his own superstar flair idk! they all give off different airs of his character and i can see why different international fanbases tend to prefer different interpre tations and pairings and the like. but i think both are takes on him that make sense. i refuse to take a stance on the dub vs sub and i think eng dubs tend to be super chopped bc vas r handled different for anime here in the states vs jp but also i like listening to different dubs :D i showed a bunch of calarts friends the spanish dub and one of them started translating and it was a really surreal experience but IT WAS FUNNNN idk. tangent
