That ol’ chart of mine makes the rounds online periodically and it drives me crazy because it’s frankly not very good. So, I finally got around to remaking it.

I doubt this will get anywhere near as popular, but I wanted to make it.

The old Bethlehem Steel home plant. Bethlehem Steel was the 2nd-largest steel maker in the US and largest ship builder at its peak. They made a fortune during WWII, as did their rival, Pittsburgh-based US Steel, and then they blew that fortune on executive pay (the Beth Steel CEO was at one point the highest-paid American corporate exec.) and building a new headquarters (Martin Tower, the tallest building in the Lehigh Valley).

But then they started to fall behind; Europe, which had been destroyed in the war, got to rebuild their industry with the newest methods and technologies. And then China came on the scene with cheaper steel. By the turn of the century, Bethlehem Steel was toast. Today, part of the plant is preserved. A casino is the new primary draw of the site. US Steel survived, though maybe not for long as Japanese Nippon Steel is trying to buy them out.

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

making a human-loop mod ✨💖

yknow i think it would be cool if there was a bit more body horror with loop and stuff. like. maybe at the start of ISATfrins loops Loop is still pretty human shaped, but as the loops go on, maybe particularlly long, they start to lose the form they had in the beginning. like . were they always able to bend like that? were they always that tall? when they walk can they feel the difference in center of balance? limbs so thin? flexible and firm and nothing like skin? where the stars once may have been at freckles they move. you are a cutout of this world. a piece of the Universe ripped out to form the outline of you. if it even is you anymore.
