“i have love and dreams too! but you know, one day everyone will grow up and leave me behind, right?” satoru chuckles as he waves his hand at yuuji nonchalantly, unaware of the weight that his words carry as you look up at him with watery eyes.

you rub your temples with one hand as to hide the incoming tears as you wait for their conversation to be over so you can speak to gojo. as soon as yuuji leaves, you enter the room; quick to approach the white-haired man and wrap your arms around him, burying your face between his shoulder blades.

“oh? missed me that much?” he tilts his head to the side, eyeing you as he gives you a small smirk. it disappears when he feels a wet spot clinging to his back and satoru manoeuvres his body around to face you, hands instantly cupping your cheeks as he looks down in concern, “hey now, that’s not very cute of you. i hate it when you cry.”

you push your face into his chest, a broken sob escaping your throat as you wail into his shirt, “you’re the one who makes me cry! saying stuff like that.”

satoru’s eyes squint in confusion before he ahh!’s in recognition, a cheeky smile appearing on his lips, “you and i both know that it’s not about you. i married you so we could be outgrown by the kids together.”

you slap his chest that rumbles with chuckles and press your ear against his left pectoral, spending a few quiet seconds searching for his heartbeat.

“i can still feel sad.” you murmur under your breath, tightening your grip on him as he rests his hand on top of your head, fingers weaving through your hair.

“feel sad for me?”

“mhm.”

satoru hums, stroking the back of your head, and smears a small kiss on your temple, muttering against it, “c’mon, baby, there’s no need for that.”

you sniffle into the sturdy surface of his chest, fingers digging deeper into his back, “i-i missed you so much. and now— now you’re going away again! it’s not fair.”

satoru’s movements on your hair come to a halt as he pulls away slightly to take a look at your face. his big palms cup the sides of it, concerned gaze scanning over your features as he exhales, breath coming out unsteadily. his eyes harden for a brief moment before ab apologetic expression settles on his face, the corners of his lips trembling as he speaks.

“i’ll do my best to make it quick, alright?”

you stare up at him, brows creasing upwards in confusion since that clearly wasn’t what was on satoru’s mind, but don’t push — too tired to attempt anything again as you bask in his warmth for as long as you can before he goes to fight sukuna.

How it feels knowing nothing actually matters when you are a reality shifter

sometimes, shifting happens when you least expect it

reminding y’all again: my first shift was quite literally when i was doubting shifting the most & didn’t believe in myself at all. i got more negative over time. i was desperate but i was slowly letting go and thinking that maybe i was never meant to shift at all. i even saw people saying having these “blockages” would make me unable to shift, it was hard not to believe, there could not have been another explanation, right? i even told myself i could never shift!

boy was i WRONG

that night, i persisted in the little belief i had left. the belief that i knew was still there, because if it wasn’t i would’ve quit shifting a long time ago and never returned, but it draws me back in each time. it needs me.

i imagined myself in a parallel reality, intended to go there, rolled over, and went to sleep.

that very night, i shifted.

still think it’s hard now?

gojo loves it when you come up behind him and hug him. he will drop anything he was busy with just to turn around and hug you back.

he could be conversing with kids and you’d be behind him, and he just chuckles, asking for his students to wait a second, before he turns around and wraps his arms around you, lifting you up and kissing you, which elicits gagging sounds from nobara and yuuji, and a confused groan from megumi.

but you don’t have to necessarily hug him for him to shower you with his love; you could just call out to him from one side of the room or accidentally walk by and satoru is already by your side, abandoning whatever he was doing just so he could be in your space. make you laugh at something, make you swoon with his undeniable charm, make you melt into him just like he melts into you.

kiss you on your cheek, then do it again, then leave a wet trail until he reaches your lips and bite you, make you squeal and giggle, writhe in his hold because you can’t escape him, can’t escape his love. gojo won’t let you, he has to show you.

it’s okay if you aren’t the most affectionate person in the world too!! and if you show your love differently, then gojo will treat every time you do show him affection like a special occasion.

whenever you feel the overwhelming need to spoil gojo with your love, he is on cloud 9 and can for sure say that those are his favourite moments with you.

when you hold him to your chest and you gaze down at him with a look that only feeds into his desire to be cherished and adored, and you brush back his bangs and kiss his forehead, his brows, between them, his eyes, his rosy cheeks and his pinkish lips. teasing him about using your tinted lip balm and kissing it off of him whilst he just proudly declares that it looks better on him!

he loves to bask in your affections and satoru’s heartbeat is never ever stable when he does, even more so than his usual elevated heartbeat from just being in your presence.
