this is definitely art
Justin posted the 1956 house he and his wife bought in Jasper, Indiana. It is a complete time capsule. Absolutely NOTHING has been updated or touched.
Everything is still here- look at the appliances. All original. This is not like the classy expensive updated mid century homes we’ve seen before.
The furniture has to be the original pieces and sets the previous owners bought.
The wall hangings are aged.
This is an interesting piece, this bar.
Look at the bathroom- pink fixtures.
Those lamps!
The master bath has a yellow tub and fixtures.
A 2nd bdm. Even the bedding is vintage.
And, this bath has blue Fixtures. Wow, I would definitely keep them.
More cool lamps and original furniture in the knotty pine family room.
Wow, look at the built-ins in the office.
The lower floor.
The basement is cool- look at that floor! And, the TV. The bar is classic. I wonder if they were leaving any of this.
Off the rec room is a 2nd kitchen. A pink fridge!
And, there’s this room, too. Look at the stone wall.
for the love of old houses
i tried to imagine something like this for the new ones and all i could think of is that image with eminem saying “woe, chien be upon ye”
Instead of regular swear words or using the Lord’s name in vain, characters in the Pokémon use curses that feature Legendary and Mythical Pokémon. They also do this for blessings as well, or any situation where you would want to swear.
Examples:
“Arceus” : catchall curse. (“Dear Arceus” , “I swear to Arceus”)
“By Dialga, I hate changing time zones.”
Of course these curses and blessings can also vary by region.
“May Zekrom smite you where you stand” (Unova)
“Giratina’s curses be upon ye” (Sinnoh)
“May Xerneas grant you good health and long life” (Kalos)
“Rayquaza, put an end to Kyogre and Groudon’s wrath” (Hoenn, during rain season and earthquake season)
“Ho-Oh’s blessings be upon ye” (Johto)
“May Lugia watch over you” (also Johto)
Sinnohan high schooler studying for a math test: “Uxie, grant me the knowledge to ace this test. Azelf, grant me the willpower to study for this test. Mesprit, grant me any emotions other than frustration with how hard pre-calculus is.”
“By Latios this cannot be happening” (Hoenn)
it got trashcanned, mods straight
any fellow r/stunfisk slitherers get a sneak preview of my opus coming tomorrow:
so... i have no way of proving this, but i swear this guy just sparkled at me -- is this a Crystal mechanic i'm unfamiliar with or is there something up with my color filter?
worst thing you've ever done for an f/o lightning round
gonna try to sound smart here
○ looking at HOME's listed teammates, they seem to have general Urshifu problems, so Tera Fairy can be used to essentially "trap" down an Urshifu on Close Combat/Wicked Blow if Sui doesn't have a Substitute, trading a little HP to gain advantage (of course, made less relevant with Sub)
○ HOME also lists Chien-Pao and Urshifu-Rapid as common defeats, which it can't do without losing huge chunks of health unless it Teras
○ while this can also be taken care of by Grass for example, Ogerpon, Serperior and Garganacl are all listed above #25 in RegF Singles and each threaten a Sub-less Suicune in their own ways, but Tera can be used to escape this and retaliate and Fairy is overall a better type than Grass due to more general resistances and an occasionally useful immunity (although the top Dragon type - Dragonite - only runs Scale Shot 33% or Outrage 14.5%, while the other two above #25 don't even run damaging ones more than 35% of the time)
also i seriously want to point out how funny this is to me: bro thinks he's Ting-Lu
hey so question
can any competitive players who aren’t stupid like me explain why Suicune has over 70% usage on Tera Fairy in Reg F Singles because I’m interested in using Suicune and I am very confused
Tera Blast isn’t in its most used moves and I don’t really see the defensive benefit of Tera Fairy on a pure Water type over something like Grass
I really just don’t get the point of it but I can tell I must be missing something because it’s so common and it’s bugging me lmao
...you say, acting as though this isn't the coolest thing that can happen to a human person
real. making a creature collector -- one that is actually quite similar to Pokémon -- in Turbowarp of all engines, and while the merits of an innate understanding of what i'm working with is nice, i have no idea how i'm going to make the collection aspect work with that local storage extensions; at bare minimum one creature has six individual parameters to decode and pack into the boxes on boot. rinse and repeat 30 times, and repeat that for however many storage boxes end up allowed and just... ough
a lot of what stifles me with web game dev is the urge to keep the save files small. i keep it very conservative to make sure the player doesn't bump into browser storage issues and i also like that you can just copypaste your save anywhere as a plain text string! however if i want to do anything complex then that becomes the bottleneck. at some point i'll get back into Godot and make the most gratuitously intricate simulation game i can come up with. parasitizing people's hard drives to incubate enormous procedural map files
