When Lex Foster was eight, Hannah was born. She had known that she would get a sibling soon, her ‘uncle’ Gerald had explained it to her a few weeks before he went back to his wife. She didn’t really care at the time. She was so busy with everything going on at home and school. There was nothing to make her care about a living potato that didn’t even exist yet.
Her mom brought her home from the hospital and left the baby on the couch to go and sleep. Lex had picked her up before she could fall. Hannah was her name apparently. Lex remembered that her grandma’s name was Hannah. Something felt right, holding her sister in her arms. She felt like Hannah was more than her sister. She had to be there for her, their mother certainly wouldn’t.
Hannah was so big in her arms, but Lex was small, even for her age. As she looked down upon her little sister, she knew that she would give the world for her. She had the same green eyes as Lex, the only thing Lex could ever thank her mother for.
She held Hannah for hours, not knowing what else to do. She wasn’t as tall as the crib, so she would have to leave Hannah alone to find something to climb on to put her little sister in. She never wanted to leave Hannah alone. She could see everything in the room that could possibly hurt her. Lex couldn’t let anything hurt her little sister, no matter what.

I have never laughed as much while watching a drama as that one moment in Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung episode 13 when one of the translators asks the Western man “waarom ben je naar Korea gekomen?” (why did you come to Joseon?) in the BEST and funniest accent I’ve ever heard.
Then, the answer “I don’t speak Dutch” made it 10 times funnier. I would never have even imagined to hear people talk about the Netherlands in a kdrama, but a historical drama?? Set in the Joseon era?? I was completely blindsided. I must’ve replayed that scene at least 5 times.
I don’t know if people know it on here BUT I’m actually from the Netherlands and Dutch is my first language!! It’s such a small country so whenever someone even mentions it I’m amazed. So the MOMENT he said that sentence I completely lost it. Well played, Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung.
Everyone who’s been talking to me knows i’ve been working on this comic about wlws and cats for a while and i’m so so happy it’s finally here!!! :D
idea stolen from this post :’3

Given the situation in the world right now this may not have been the best t-shirt to wear in public...
I’ve seen people create virtual pub quiz type events, and I wanted to gauge if the Starkid fandom would be interested if I hosted one. It would happen on a website called myQuiz (it’s kinda similar to Kahoot), and it allows up to a hundred people to take part live (I’ll try and arrange a time that will work for as many people as possible).
I just thought it would be a fun way to bring the fandom together during these tough times, and might end up being quite fun, so if you’re interested please like/reblog so that I can make this happen!
My brother was supposed to get a vaccination (not anymore because of Corona), but he doesn't like getting those, so he said he wanted to be sedated in his arm for his vaccination... Like, dude??? How do you think that's gonna work???
