and that's the proof 99% of writers prefer cats.
the suffering never ends
I am cryyyinnngg ššš
going to class and your professor talking fondly about the "wonderful feeling after the elevator cable snaps while you're in it"
said professor then proceeding to play a rock song
on most days only expect 2-5 students in class even though we have 13
where did the others go?? nobody knows, maybe they were abducted by aliens
speaking of aliens
your other professor pausing class to talk about what would happen if we met them
and getting mildly upset that an asteroid is no longer headed towards earth
cats
just so many physics department cats
and celebrating their birthdays
nobody in the department sleeps
don't be alarmed when your professor goes to the group chat at 3am to talk about whatever
hating elon musk
somehow other majors don't think astrophysics majors actually attend school until they meet you
there are days where we only talk about why star trek wasn't safe (they never wore seatbelts for a long time!!)
we like frogs
and rocks
rock go brrrr
sometimes finding your professor's face photoshopped onto satellites
working for hours but having 0 progress
your prof. assuring you that this is normal even for professionals
random scifi talks and book recs
cats
everyone in the dept likes greek letters
getting back to your dorm at almost midnight
the hall is eerily quiet but nobody is asleep
crying over the moon is normal
so is crying over the mars rovers
crying in general is normal
your professor saying odd things like
"this is just some weird image of two people about to die- but anyway, spacetime"
the astronomers of the school are also the astrologers
setting up in the lounge reading people's birth charts and astro cards
having to sneak through the back of the building because our id cards never work
sitting in the observatory with the lights off waiting for the professor to get there
planning to bring your hallmates to the planetarium to impress them
did i mention the cats?
meow
why do we have things that glow?
and this????
idk might make a pt. 2 or not
I just love the feeling you get while studying something that you love with all your heart.
Learning new things about it makes you feel like floating in a sky full of coloured fluffy clouds...

Saw someone put Physics in Light Academia..
Let me tell you that Physics is so Dark Academia, trust me, a subject where you constantly are confronted with the edges of reality, the limits of human understanding and delving into places where everything you think is normal stops working, where everything starts to become so unintuitive that it is impossible to wrap your head around it, where you can only to try and begin to understand it using the language of mathematics
From the smallest particles of the universe to the large scale structures of the cosmos, Physics just reaches the ultimate limits of time and space!
This is why I think it is peak Dark Academia
What if after Neil died, Todd went and visited Neil's grave every day and one day, a few years after graduation, he went to Neil's grave and set a ring on the head stone asking if Neil would marry him. Neil would have obviously said yes if he were still alive so Todd buries the ring a little under the ground near the headstone and wears his around just to remind him of his first and last love. The ring is engraved with Neil's name and the day he killed himself.

Hi! I want to learn French and Russian. Could you share your favourite resources for beginners? Could you also include books and movies/TV shows recommendations for both languages in your post? Thank you.
That's really cool that you want to learn those languages!!!
I have a bunch of Russian resources that I used because I started out as solely self-learning. So a large part in my absolute beginner phase I spent listening to podcasts, specifically, these: understanding spoken Russian which is great for just getting a feel for the language while also learning a bit of grammar and this one for getting grammar and vocab explained in a very down to earth kind of way without any types of big words you need to know.
Besides these I essentially learned all the Russian grammar I know on Youtube. Especially from this channel. Daria is very cool and also has several podcasts under the same name.
This one has helped me with specific questions about little grammar things, so might also be useful.
Nastya has this year begun doing a Learn Russian in a Year thing where she uploads every day a thirty minute lesson. It's a bit slow for me personally having already learned a lot and just generally me being impatient but it can definitely help with vocab.
He also has good videos and also some free stuff on his website iirc.
For TV shows I unfortunately can't recommend a lot for beginners. What you can do though is watch episodes like Peppa the Pig on Youtube in English and in Russian/French to compare and learn or only in your TL as they're obviously at a low level. What I do highly recommend as a show though is ŃŠ»Ńга Š½Š°ŃŠ¾Š“Ń for Russian and Lupin for French.
Also, if you're into audiobooks, try typing children audiobooks into Youtube or try listening to the Russian/French version of Harry Potter (that's what I'm doing rn actually).
If you're looking for a book and willing to spend some money I recommend this book with Russian short fiction for beginners. I just finished it and I thought it was very fun with vocab lists and questions for the stories at the end. The same author has also books for higher levels.
Unfortunately, as I learned almost all of French in classes I only have one channel I actually use to recommend, which is this one. You'll find some of my posts where I used this channel as my source.
I hope this helps! I might update in future when I find more. Good luck with your language learning journey!!
Itās me ya boi I gotta go to bed in an hour so Iām writing it as fast as I can so I donāt lose my idea tomorrow.Ā
So, what do I mean by that? Literally what it says. Iām just going to ramble about how beautiful and full of metaphors their relationship is and how it just gives me a reason to live. Itās not going to be good rambling. Just rambling with a little bit of passion in it.
Ight imma start with the classic things. As a former Wattpad loyal user I know all the angel x demon tropes. And I am sick of them to my stomach, I canāt stand one more uwu baby angel corrupted by demon. And this is what is surprising but does make sense about them husbands. They cannot, in my opinion, be called angel or demon, they literally became 2 halves of the same entity, the supernatural entity that watches over humans and makes sure there is a balance between good and bad. Like Yin and Yang. Good and evil, black and white, light and darkness. Not opposing, but complementing each other.
Ā Aaaand they were like that from the beginning. Remember when Crowley saidĀ "Funny thing is, I keep wondering whether the apple thing wasnāt the right thing to do, as well. A demon can get into real trouble, doing the right thing. Funny if we both got it wrong, eh? Funny if I did the good thing and you did the bad one, eh?". They somehow knew it, Crowley wasnāt evil and Aziraphale wasnāt as obedient as an angel should have been. From the first time they ever got in touch in each other (we do not have any information on the times before Crowleyās fall) they somehow ended up thinking they didnāt do the thing their roles assigned them to. And this just shows how interesting their relationship that would come will be. In their relationship they always ended up stepping on their values that were assigned and for what? For the sake of each other.
Now, I got into the light-darkness thing and I feel the need to extend it. I somewhere saw a theory that angelās haloās are so bright that it blinds them, the angels having to rely only on Godās word. Meanwhile, the fallen angels, the demons, had their haloās broken, forming the shape of the horns, being able to see and think on their own but not having any form of guidance. Now that we uncovered that doesnt a relationship between a demon and an angel just make sense? Like, the angel, blinded by the divine light, would rely on the demonās words and rationalizing. The demon would then be guided by the angelās light, this way both benefiting for each other and having to bond to each other. It just makes me so soft to think about that need of each other, and just a silly little thing my brain just said:Ā āthe angel could guide the demon through the darkest of timesāā (yes I just quoted my brain deal with it). I am just a succkerrr for this kind of soft thing and many people would probably not empathize and thats okay.
Now the really corny shit. Like theĀ āforbidden loveā kind of. This is, again, a well-known trope, but this time one that didnāt lose as much value as others did. When you thinkĀ āforbidden loveā there are so many posibilities. Like... gays during the history, a maiden and a prince, a gay knight and a prince, mafia gang leader harry styles and crime detective, the entire plot of hannibal, drunken me and a laptop to write, hold on Iām going too far, just young people in love and not affording it aaannndd 2 people from opposite sides. Heaven/Hell I mean. Obviously very opposite. And what we have learned about this forbidden love kinda stuff? They almost always end up running away together. Yes I am proving Crowley is head over heels but like, isnāt that poetic as fuck? Being so sick of having to do your work, to hide your feelings, to just hide yourself and the person you would die for that you just want to dull off together and live the perfect life without being judged?
Related to the past point, even if this was an innevitable choice, just the fact that Crowley chose Alpha Centauri is just making my brain and fingers go nuts. Alpha Centauri is a triple star system, 2 of them forming a binary star, basically two stars that are pretty close to each other. Now I know this doesnāt really make any sense, but what if those 2 stars represent Crowley and Aziraphale, and the 3rd one represents Adam? Like in that moment they went during the time before the world was created. I just think it would be cool as fuck that there would actually be an association made.
Also just the shipās name: Ineffable. What does it mean? Beyond words, beyond understanding. What we always try is to put our feelings into words, and we more than usual fail. Because feelings arenāt something to be shown by words. They are ineffable.
Where did I go with this? Absolutely. No. Idea. I just poured all I my thoughts on a tired keyboard until my fingers have gone cold. Itās just that there are small details or just small ideas that maybe arenāt that revolutionary or special, but why not randomly post them on the internet?

From the desk of
While I was obsessively searching through jet pens for cool stationary products - I realized school is a month or two away.
So I checked out the Prepare for your Classes tab at University of the People to begin my coursework in Computer Science. I downloaded the books and saved the course resources links and read through all the syllabi.

Also, this...
£10k - £15k in 3-6 years @ 15-30hrs/week.
Now what? Besides needing some more notebooks I am trying to decide between a digital or analog note taking system. One costs $800 bucks but will be higher quality with a slight learning curve - iPad Air and Pencil and a note taking app (probably Notability)
Here. Read. Learn.
And a second article:
Iāve read about the differences between IPad Air and Pro for note taking and Meh.
I like the latest IPad ($349) or the Latest iPad Air ($549). Choosing between the Apple Pencil 1 ($99) or Apple Pencil 2 ($129) isnāt the biggest deal breaker either.
Apple support is about $3.50 per month until you turn it off so... yeah.
The cost is similar for the IPad case. Not bad, but thatās a LOT of Notebooks, Washi Tapes, and Pens!
For about the cost of an iPad Air bundle, I can purchase ALL OF THE stationary supplies AND a better digital camera AND a few months of unlimited data for my modem.
So you know.
In regards to Content? Both options?
AND new pretty furniture AND gaming system (XBOX) AND TV (LG) AND a streaming device AND you know - costumes?
Livestreamer blues.
Mics and stuff arenāt cheap man. Neither are cameras and elgato devices (effect box, cam link, game link). Boo!
The desire for moody dark academia study blr and pagan influenced live stream aesthetics aside...
IBM offers Professional Certificates Coursera in Data Analytics & Science for $40 a month or $400 per year!
Donāt believe me? Look!
Ka-pow!!
Until next time... Iāll be perusing digital camera and lighting kits... really Iām going to start my coursework. Maybe after dinner and a nap. Maybe.
