My buddy is opening commissions!!!! You should check them out if you are interested ๐๐!
dm me if youโre interested! I have plenty of slots open :-)
Before the Anger- episode 41, "Strange Tradition"
Papyrus is thinking of the other meaning of "holiday", which usually means "weekend".
Not to get too personal, but I modeled this episode after my own childhood, and while I was drawing this it actually made me emotional. Me and my siblings would search for trash and give it to each other for a makeshift "Christmas" (I'm not religious, so I wasn't celebrating anything.) I relate to these little skeleton boys more than I should lol
On a positive note, this is the first episode exclusively featuring Sans and Papyrus!
Anyway, now we can get back to that egregious cliffhanger (I'm still sorry, that's just how the schedule panned out)

"Frisk. You cannot escape my narrative."
Hey -Frisk, is it?- you seem a bit tied up at the moment, but we've never seen you before on this blog! That fellow behind you seems to have been seeing you for quite a long time, though.
I made this digital painting inspired by traditional Chinese paintings. Some day it will make sense why. Today is not that day.
Before the Anger- episode 43, "A Red Pen and a Dumb Book"
((Chara decided to humour Toriel and joined her in the kitchen. She even pretended to smile and said, โSure, Mother.โ and seeing Torielโs face light up made Charaโs smile genuine. What a stupid woman. Chara stood beside Toriel, looking up into her piercing eyes. Being this close to such a creature made Charaโs hands tremble, so she made a tight fist.))
The color red is very important in this comic. It symbolizes humanity. Gaster's speech bubble...

Before the Anger, episode 7- "Bring-Your-Kid-to-Work Day"
Note- sorry for not posting yesterday!! I think I'll double upload today to balance it out. In this ep we meet Undyne (who is still pretty radioactive but i fix her colors later in the series) and enter a new room: the judgement hall.
Character designs at this early in the comic are pretty inconsistent, but I'm getting the hang of it now. I might post their character sheets later.

"The North Star" (redraw!)
I made the original (right) only a year ago, so it's not much different art style-wise, but my technique and composition has improved :)
This is a drawing of a scene in my book, The Screen. In this scene, AcheOmiriisan (a creature possessing some rando) is carrying Maria home after the fight against Slendermanโ yes, it's a creepypasta book lol. AcheOmiriisan is holding the North Star, which is so bright that their arm catches fire. When I was drawing this, I struggled trying to make the star look "impossibly bright", so instead I blacked it out, as if this imaginary camera could not handle it.
I like this scene because it shows that Ache may have a soft side ๐โค
Before the Anger- episode 44, "Annoying Kid!"
((โHere, child, you can cut up the carrots!โ Toriel offered Chara a knife with a big smile. Charaโs hands felt ice cold; the knife, the sharp edges catching the light; Torielโs disgusting, monstrous grin; her claws grasping the handle. Chara raised a hand to her mouth to cover her disgust and rushed out of the kitchen without a word. Toriel watched her leave, a confused tilt in her head.))
I love Papyrus and Sans's dynamic. There's a lot of complex psychology in the little details (do you notice a theme in these comics?)

Before the Anger- episode 20, "Picnic Party (pt. 3)"
The original AU that this comic is based on was in grayscale. Obviously, since this comic has color, the other characters have gotten color into their designs. But not Sans. He's so emo that he stays in grayscale.
Also, water is important in this series. This is the first encounter we have with it, and it's relatively positive! But watch out for symbolism later in the comic :)

Before the Anger, episode 4- "Yikes! Tomatoes"
note- I enjoy titling my episodes in a nonsensical fashion. Don't mind it.
Although these are old archives from my Webtoon, don't think you're getting the short end of the stick! There are actually a handful of mistakes that slipped by in some of my Webtoon episodes that I am able to fix when I post on here. For example, in one of the upcoming eps, I forgot to make Gaster's right eye bad and fixed it for Tumblr :)

UHHH THATS ACTUALLY CLOSE WHAT
Anything to get out of Artblock ๐
UA is by @bri-jo-g
Grillby, noo...
In this picture, she's showing them how to say "asshole". Papyrus is trying to copy her (success rate... not looking good) and Sans is just watching and learning. Ah yes, such good influences the skeleton brothers have...
This is Grillby IV as she appears in BTA: a teenager. She is sixteen. Technically, this is not her first job, since she helps her dad (Grillby III... It's easier to keep naming heirs "Grillby" than changing the name of the restaurant) at the restaurant. But this is the first one she's being paid for!
All of the Grillbys are proficient in sign language, since fire can't talk. Don't think too hard about that, the Grillbys aren't much more than a bit XD
