it's been pretty cold where i am and i had a day off today, so i thought it would be a good idea to draw a still from the beach episode of shadowgast: the anime

this is literally my fourth (4th) instalment of critical role x it's always sunny in philadelphia redraws and i haven't even done the iconic 'i do backflips every day' thing yet. haven't even scratched the surface friends

Thinking about the shadowgast crumbs we got in the Lucien boom. And how Essek was holding Caleb’s body. So he was literally guarding Caleb until Jester killed Lucien and her and Cad came over to revivify him.

What’s very “fun” to think about it based on the in game combat and combining the new info we got, this is how that scene went down:

First Essek gets pulled away from his original position by Caleb due to Elatus. Then Caleb gets impaled like 3 times in front of him and tossed aside. He then would have to have run back or floated back to get to Caleb as the book says since he was pulled away by like 15ft(?)And then be holding onto Caleb’s body so the city didn’t consume him until Jester deals the killing blow and was waiting for the healers to come and help.

So….if Yasha had to literally rip the city away from Veth cuz Veth was prone on the ground and it was gonna swallow her, we could feasibly say either Essek did the same and just kept ripping away the city until it died.

Or! Essek was holding Caleb in his arms bridal style to keep him off of the ground.

for the life of me i couldn't figure out why hearing orym and fearne died was affecting me so badly (i'm still on ep 32 lol). i didn't sleep, i was crying almost every few hours, no appetite and i was so confused as to why. i didn't react like this with molly! then i realized it's cause fearne and orym are part of exu and exu pulled me out of a bad place.

i remember when i decided to listen to exu. i was in one of the worst places mentally i have been in years and choosing to listen to it was dicey for many personal reasons. but i took the risk and i listened to exu and fell in love with the crown keepers (fearne, orym and opal in particular). and after that i slowly but surely pulled myself out of that hole. hearing two of my favorite members of the crown keepers were in campaign 3 was the greatest news ever for me. i know they'll never see this but just in case they do: thanks liam and ashley (and all the crown keepers as well as aabria) for making the characters and fun story that saved me. i hope they come back, but if not i'm glad they came into my life and they will always hold a special spot in my heart.

all my advice about using real athletes to learn drawing bodies beyond hard abs, and my particular pref being wrestlers, also applies to women btw. you can draw women who r strong and not an hourglass shape. fucking do it.

kris statlander, rhea ripley (look at her SHAPE), willow nightingale, ruby soho, these r just four off the top of my head that have obvious musculature and different body types. skye blue and julia hart have more slim cheerleader style bodies as well, i REALLY wanted to put emi sakura who is fucking STOUT (adoring) in this post but i couldn't find a good demonstrative pic, the list goes on
