Also I only realized yesterday that there's a venus reference in the ep where Hypno's music traps the turtles in a fashion montage (at least i think thats the ep). I think Raph knocks something over and Leo is like "hey watch that, it's a Venus de Magic [something or another]"

Which. It would be really funny if Venus was that turtle looking yokai who worked for big mama but also did magic as a side gig

YEHAG SHE IS. shes originally from a reallyreally bad 90s tv show called ninja turtles the next mutation but the concept behind her character was really fun and tbh she was the best part of the show people just focused all their hate for how bad it was on her bc. they don't like women

and then the idw comics made their version of her and she's SO COOL she's basically frankensteined together from a bunch of different parts and she has donnies old shell (it got wrecked and he made a titanium one as part of another storyline) which gives them like a psychic link and then she branches off and tries to find her own identity it rules its amazing!!!!!!

and also rise started planting the seeds for a minor antagonist that would be revealed to be a fifth turtle which most people theorize to be her. i love theoretical venus so so much i am writing stuff about her that i will one day finish one day

ohh my god imagine finally after thinking you aren't worthy of fighting in the rebellion and running away so much you give a speech to rally everyone around you and you can really SEE it make a difference and you know you've done a good thing. and then you learn the parents you thought for sure were long dead were alive the entire time and you were potentially just months away from finding and rescuing them too but they heard your words and resonated with them and were proud of you and took a stand and died for it just five days before you went to find them. god what if i kill myself
