Inspired Heavily By That 1 Scene In Last Run (i Like Lr A Lot, Clearly)

inspired heavily by that 1 scene in last run (i like lr a lot, clearly)

made up the chara design on the fly, i rly like it so it might become my main design for her; and yes, the pink socks are intentional. i thought she’d look good in pink socks so i added them

also first time tryna properly colour a character (that was a pun), i’d say it turned out decent. still need to work on colour theory

Favorite LB song and why?

love this question so much

anyhow, its tsc (the slaughter continues)

why? because it embodies lb. allow me to explain

while I may love the static and concept of phase 3, that's not exactly "last breath", right? more so "im tweaking out and you're about to fucking die because of it"

tsc has the best music, but it's close between aee. I just like it more, though. it's subjective

anyhow, sc represents that sans is on his last legs to beat you. not just him powering up- its him literally dying as he serves out an asswooping that made merg cry. and yet he's determined to do it. not some bullshit dt injection or newfound hope, he's straight up just pissed. and that's why its so fascinating, because it still feels plausible. it's grounded, literally just sans surviving then finally going "fuck it we ball" and dunking your ass harder than papyrus' head

saw a statement that mg is akin to walter's son

Walter stepped onto the elevator.

In about 5 minutes, he'd arrive at the observation chamber. In about 7, he'd be on the catwalk.

He has that time.

[ding]

Low humming collided with the rustling of his suit as a phone was produced from the rightmost pocket.

A couple rings later, he's speaking to one of his technical engineers.

"Is it ready?"

"Yes sir."

"Good." He hangs up.

Everyone's day has to have just gotten better.

After around 20 more seconds, Walter is faced with a sleek mix of utilarian. He's almost surprised at the lack of traffic, but that's no reason to complain, right?

Stepping out of the elevator, striding forward through the corridor then down the right hall. Take a left turn, followed by a staircase downward.

Hm..that took around 4 minutes. Ah well, better for him, then.

Waltzing into the observation chamber would be the second best part of this trip. He finally got to see his magnum opus.

His eyes were greeted with nigh-perfectum protection against titans- against Godzilla. Oh, how proud he was.

The apex titan, Mechagodzilla.

Despite it's stature, Walter was sure it was his son. The time, the effort, the very fact it stood before him now, it was a miracle- his miracle.

He hurried to the catwalk, passing through the exit door to see it without the filter of stained glass and white noise of computers.

As his foot lands on the first step, he hears it. The sound of a leg shifting. Not his- but it's leg. And he turns.

It's gazing. With optics larger than himself tenfold, it's gazing.

Maybe he hasn't slept much, because he's sure it's..it's leaning towards him.

He moves across the catwalk, stopping around the middle. It tracks him as he moves.

His hand grasps onto the railing, he needed to get a better look.

A snout bumps the railing he's leaning against, larger than half the catwalk itself- it's a miracle the thing didn't crumble.

Conscious or not, Walter's own hand lifts, and lands onto it- lands onto Mechagodzilla.

A low, mechanical hum eminates.

"..Incredible."

Can I just say I love how sketchy your artstyle is? Especially when you draw LB bc it really feels in character for lack of better wording ifykwim

Anyways question timeee, you mightve mentioned this before or gotten an ask about it but what drew you to lb? Like what makes him a character you enjoy?

as selfin rightfully said, anonymous ask? I'm movin' up in the world

as for the question, dearest asker:

I think it was the original merg playthroughs that drew me to him, (and made me find out about his existence) and I started to grow more and more attached over time. I don't know when it happened, but he's just irreplaceable to me now.

I'd say I usually grow a liking to characters like that. Find out about them, compare them to others, realise I like them the most, get pissed because there's little-to-no content of them (they're usually the most unknown damn characters, example being rico from aot. (yes she's my favourite aot character.))

As for what makes lb a character I enjoy? I'd say it's a mix of the more grounded approach of the au, and gaster. I'm quite a big fan of gaster, he's my #2 UT character, competing with sans for #1. plus the design of lb is the best I've ever seen, rivaling fatal and loverofpiggies designs in general. it's so damn basic yet so good. I've always liked more "wild" interpretations of things, as in like- when a character just goes sicko mode. not being restrained by plot or other characters, just goes crazy. though I may just be latching onto something here since I dont quite know myself.

one thing I DO know is how much I love the static aspect. I've been waiting to talk about this all ask. the static aspect of lb hooks me in EASILY. I don't know why but it's so damn good to look at.

not to mention the twitching. lb really gives off this vibe of "we're fucked" no matter who he's up against. phase 3's opening remains my favourite UT-related sequence ever. maybe even outside of UT, actually.

lb excels even more than dust in just pure POTENTIAL for design. you can have a more symbiotic approach, a more retained and orderly approach, or you can have a puppeteer-type dynamic. there's also it just being batshit insane, which I enjoy with a mix of symbiotic and puppeteer.

off-topic slightly, but my favourite representation of lb is a crackhead disposition, with puppeteer strings. yet it's symbiotic in nature, sans and gaster both agreeing on this.

PS: thx for the comment on my artstyle. I love sketchy artstyles a SHIT ton yet it feels like I js chicken scratch with mine. so the very fact it helps my art, especially with my fav character ever, is definitely a motivator.

anyway, thanks for the ask. you just motivated me to start working on another lb drawing I've been thinking of.

Can I Just Say I Love How Sketchy Your Artstyle Is? Especially When You Draw LB Bc It Really Feels In
