The elves are typically the only ones in modern Tolkien media to have such a strong, ethereal connection with the Earth. While the dwarves are a stark contrast to them, often only caring about the earth for what it can give them in return
Rings of Power challenges that by making Disa and her singer one with the mountain. It's as if their souls are apart of the mountain, to the point where their upset is the mountain's upset and vice versa.
They can feel it.
It's no different than the elves fading because their realms are fading.
It is such a magical, mythical connection reserved usually for elves in Tolkien media.
The dwarves and their relationship with nature has been so disrespected to the point where their seen as lesser than the elves in adaptations because of their disconnect.
Yet, even in Rings of Power, Even King Durin realizes and believes in the significance of the dwarves and their connection to the mountain. He honors it and depends on it, and is willing to admit that things have gone south when the singers cannot even feel the mountain anymore.
I love, love their relationship with nature.
The Rings of Power has done more the dwarves and their positive image than Peter Jackson did in three movies.

To all TF2 fans out there: If you’re looking for a great co-op game with funny characters, great gameplay, a fun and welcoming community as well as developers who actually care about their game - try DRG! I promise, it is WORTH it!
And that’s coming from someone who barely ever touches new/unfamiliar games. It’s really that fun! Thanks again, @rottennuggetart! <3
