a little reflection:

this took me 7 hours but I’m actually really fucking proud of the Line quality/pose expressions!!! I have been struggling with simplicity when coloring stuff but working on commissions has really solidified that flat color/shading simplicity and working with several layers for all the gradients, which I think went a lot more smoothly than it usually does.

It took me 3 flat layers for skin, clothes, and hairs, one layer for accessories, and then 2 layers for the skin details like blush/mouth/mustache and hands, and then two layers for shadow and light!! So a total of about 10 layers including sketch and inks, which I usually use about 30+ layers HAHA so getting used to using between 10-15 layers on commissions and it translating into being a lot more simple yet looking SOOO much better when its simpler than when I do too much?? I think it gives it a lot more readability as a whole and I am very proud of it.
