DUDE okay so I've got a lot of them

They've been mistaken for twins until people get a good look at them. This happened a lot when they were younger, Batgirl and Robin, enough that it's a running gag between Dick, Babs and Steph that they refuse to explain to the others. Bruce knows the joke he just pretends he doesn't, and it bothers Damian especially so much

They're twins spiritually. Cut from the same cloth (Bruce's) into different articles of clothing, but from the same cloth nonetheless.

They're all vibes. Literally all vibes.

Cass knows Tim's lame and a loser and everything, but like...that's her little brother. Her amazing, amazing little brother. She won't deny he's a freak and weird and a loser and strange, she knows he is objectively if nothing else, but it's part of what makes him him.

They rarely refer to Bruce as "Bruce" to each other. It's always "him". 'You sound just like him right now.' 'He sent you didn't he?' 'This was his idea, wasn't it.'

Cass told Tim that when she's Batman (when, mind you, not if), Tim can be her partner. Tim was very touched but said he won't be Robin then and he doesn't want to go back to Robin. Cass told him that she never said anything about Robin and that Batman’s only been a girl once so they can change the rules a bit.

Cass is Tim's odd-perfect-skilled-kind-good big sister and Tim is Cass' genius-weird-sweet-good little brother and it's a dynamic so unique to them. They're mirrors, and they're aware of the fact, but haven't put much thought to it except that they are.

Tim talks and thinks a lot, Cass doesn't talk a lot and she's good at detective work when she puts her mind to it, but she rather wouldn't a good percentage of the time. So she lets Tim do it for her when he can because he's good at and likes it, and in return she points out when he's overthinking and catastrophizing and getting too into his own head about stuff and drags him out of it.

They're each other's favorite siblings, hands-down.

Cass gets in Tim's space a lot, physically and into his stuff. Tim has slightly more courtesy about it, but knows she's fine with him in her stuff and space so does so a lot.

They don't always get each other but they love each other and that's enough for them. It makes up for it, to them.

Same haircut! Steph cuts their hair with kitchen scissors in the middle of the night while exhausted and she's the only stylist they accept. She charges only Tim.

These two are autism and audhd solidarity so sometimes they're coninhabiting the same space content, sometimes Tim's talking about everything and anything and Cass is listening, sometimes they're there in complete silence.

They both knew and cared about Batman (either as a figure or as a hero) before Bruce (the man and their dad) so they make the distinction a lot more and a lot clearer than everyone else.

They both want to go to Bludhaven again, keep Dick company and maybe settle down again, but they were so sad the last time they were there that they associate the city with horrible memories.

They're both fashion disasters but Cass wears whatever's most convenient and Tim genuinely think he dresses well. Cass sees nothing wrong with Tim's fashion sense and Tim sees no reason to too say anything about hers, especially since he knows she doesn't care.

If you ever feel embarrassed about making self indulgent content of your favorite things, just remember that Naoki Urasawa wrote Astro Boy fanfiction that reimagined the whole thing as a gritty murder mystery/psychological thriller and won a bunch of awards for it. You can literally do whatever you want.

One of my favorite underutilized bits of Star Wars worldbuilding is how feelings literally soak into the physical world around you, if you’re Force-sensitive. Sometimes in really awful ways–Maul’s rage is still radiating off the walls in the Theed hangar 30 years later, because nobody goes in there to put new feelings into the walls, Luke can still feel Rey’s imprint on the meditation stone on Ahch-To after she leaves, Anakin and Ahsoka can still hear the screams of the dying in the Jedi hangar after the bombing–but that would also be there in good ways. Imagine walking into the Room of a Thousand Fountains where you touch a stone bench where Master Yoda was just meditating on, you’re not even psychometric, you can just feel the warmth and calm he left behind while he sat there.  Imagine walking into the the Temple gardens where a Jedi Master was watering their space azalea bushes and you can feel their contentment radiating off the walls.  Imagine walking into the refectory and feeling last week’s younglings class’ excitement over their upcoming field trip, how golden and glowing it is in the Force.  Imagine walking into the Jedi Temple aviary, where they keep their pet birds, hearing the gentle cooing of the convors, but also feeling the connection all the Jedi before you have had with these animals, the joy that’s been permeated into the floor and walls with how much they’ve loved their time spent there. Imagine how being a psychic space wizard that can soak feelings into the world around you would change how you interact with that physical world.  Imagine how giving a river stone isn’t just giving a neat rock, but giving someone the ability to hold affection and care literally right there in your hand, because you focused on putting all those feelings into the rock beforehand.  Imagine how art performances would change, if you’re psychic and your audience is psychic, how you can literally hand them feelings or sit them on a cushion that you put a specific feeling into it, when you get to the climatic part of your play. Imagine how being able to put feelings into physical objects and then hand them to someone would play out!!!!

Palpatine u sad wrong motherfucker. I LOVE THIS. Because its so true, Anakin had put Padme in this pedestal like she was a saint and its not as explicitly stated or given a metaphor but Anakin had done this with Obi-wan too, calling him the perfect jedi as if jedi weren't the stories he heard of as a kid about warriors and mythical beings who would come and save everyone, and even if Obi-wan slowly becomes a man in his eyes to Anakin he is still the epitome of that perfection. I love it, i love this, and i also really love how fucking wrong Palpatine is, like u delusional old fool ur gonna destroy urself without realizing it bcos yes Obikin will also destroy themselves but they will drag everyone around them into this destruction and then build themselves back up too.

It takes thirty-two more hours for the realization to come to Sidious, and he blames Skywalker wholly for the delay. The boy's own stupidity and black-and-white view of the galaxy must be rubbing off on him, that's the only reason Sidious can think of for not having thinking of this sooner.

Kenobi. 

And Skywalker.

The answer has been sitting right before him this entire time, but he had been too blinded by his own hatred of Kenobi to see it. And Skywalker's hero worship of the man hadn't helped, of course. The way Skywalker talked of his old Jedi master evoked images of untouchable saints, glowing angels, benevolent deities...the same way he talked of those sentients he fancied himself in love with at the height of his relationships with them. Gilded and perfect and infallible. It was the way Skywalker loved, to paint his paramours as idols placed upon a pedestal.

How had Sidious missed that Skywalker had already done the same thing with Kenobi? Years ago! For years, he has endured Skywalker's fanatical praise of his Jedi master. He has listened to him complain about the man, his fastidiousness, his devotion to the Jedi Order--but oh, those moments that Sidious had made the mistake of agreeing with Skywalker's own words! He has never felt closer to losing Skywalker's trust than those times he let a bad word about Kenobi slip past his lips, even though Skywalker himself had already said much more damning things.

And yet no matter the argument, no matter the disagreement between Kenobi and Skywalker, Skywalker's faith in his master did not waver. He never took his master down from that pedestal, no matter how many times Kenobi revealed himself to be just a man.

Sidious has spent years resenting that, resenting Skywalker's unshakeable devotion to his master. He has spent years trying to ingratiate himself to the boy, trying to replace Kenobi as the boy's mentor, his father. And every time he has failed because it seems that no matter how often Kenobi manages to break Skywalker's heart, Skywalker gives it to him again without hesitation.

But...but if Skywalker were to see Kenobi through the lens of a man in love, if they were to fall into bed together and strike up a romance, then surely...surely Kenobi would flinch at the force of Skywalker's naked devotion.

i’ll say it til the cows come home but as undeniably strange as the star wars prequels are, george lucas’ direction with anakin was downright fucking inspired. people were waiting for whatever badass backstory lucas was sure to give them, awaiting a naturally intimidating actor with rogueish charm to be cast, waiting for this masterpiece of badass villainy or whatever, and george lucas is like no, no, i’ve got you. and then he finds the one man on the planet who looked babier than baby mark hamill and says, “his main personality trait will be being weird and awkward, secondary personality trait loving his wife, tertiary personality trait being incredibly good at murder, and all of these traits will do battle on the silver screen for three movies until they all win in possibly the worst way.” that fucking rules. george lucas could’ve done anything with darth vader and he willingly, enthusiastically chose mentally unstable college student who is somehow married but his only friend is his kind-of dad. that fucking rules, top down, that’s fucking exquisite. if you don’t think that premise is inherently entertaining you’ve got no taste

nasa: we have named the rockets apep. this stands for atmospheric perturbations [in the] eclipse path.

nasa: apep is also the ancient egyptian deity of chaos and darkness, who ceaselessly seeks to extinguish the sun. we launch these rockets directly at the sun in the name of apep.

me: oh... cool?

Humans are space orcs, but humans are real fucking sneaky and don't tell anyone they're predators after realizing that other sentient species are all prey. It starts out as wanting to assimilate without any negative stigma, but eventually they realize that we're really alone as sentient predators.

So q human goes on a research ship and that ship gets stranded on a deathworld and everyone freaks put bc they don't know how to handle this but the human's just like 'build shelter, hunt food, start a fire' and they're all like 'hunt food???!!' And they human's like 'shit'.

So they see a human climb trees, throw shit, track prey and realize 'oh no, that thing could kill us' but the human's helping and they don't really have the man power to get rid of them.

And eventually they realize the whole pack bonding thing is stronger than the predatory instincts and are relieved
