Oh also you guys can send me asks lol
There's a 85% chance I'll answer, 95% chance if it's about Amulet rn
this is a sincere reminder to not stop boycotting, to not stop boosting and amplifying palestinian voices, and to never stop fighting for a free palestine.
noury, or nouran, is a jujutsu kaisen artist with a significant following on twitter, who has been documenting her life since the onset of the israeli aggression on october seventh.
noury has documented her struggles over the past four months, from finding basic necessities like food to literal explosions in her neighborhood as she falls asleep. her journey has now been marked by physical hardships, including the devestating loss of one of her eyes and now the fracture of her wrist.
as fellow artists and members of the fandom, it is so important that we refuse to turn a silent eye and never forget our people in palestine. the heart of this issue lies in the consistent dehumanization of palestinians, as they are constantly perceived as subhuman. let noury and her art serve as a reminder that the only difference between each of us and noury is the circumstances we were born into. that she was someone who celebrated gojo's birthday just like us, who wanted and deserved the right to watch the second season, who had it stripped away from her.
as you continue to interact with art, talk about jujutsu kaisen, and enjoy the fandom as you normally do - please don't forget that it is our responsibility to ensure that the world never forgets the losses suffered by people like noury, by people who are just like us, and to stand united against the israeli occupation that so constantly strips people of their basic rights, including the fundamental right to artistic expression.

Ok everyone, let's do a little group project. Repost this post with a fangirl/fanboy/fannonbinary magnet
If I had the ability I'd make an animated adaption of the Amulet series, albeit with some new stuff added for context and better world+character building and some old stuff removed because god damn it I'm sorry but I hate the part where Emily's FUTURE SELF WHICH JUST CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND HELPS HER INSTEAD OF TRELLIS. It makes me want to drop myself into the void. Like, there's so many potential and cool ideas in this comic that either gets written poorly or abandoned in the end. But then again there's a chance I'd butcher the entire plot so badly it'll look a mutilated chew toy so I should probably not take any chances for now

My brain hurts from reading all this lol
I just read the book today AND HOLY MOLY-
It aboslutely blew my mind!!!
For someone whose read all 9 books, my mind just thinks that it comes full circle and kinda connects them all together. Just some things I've theoretically put together is that you know how Vigo was taken to the void by Ikol, but then was transported 300 years back in the past? Take it with a grain of salt.
I suspect that something similiar happened to Silas Charnon; that he is from the future who travelled back to the past. In Book 1, Silas seems to know about Emily--whose been in Alledia--despite the fact that they never met. I don't think Silas was still in his house on Earth when Emily was born. He would only know about her if Emily was Silas's ancestor. There's also the inventions and sketches in this man's house on Earth. Things like the cardbot and the boat thing seem futuristic to me despite Karen thinking that they were some sort of puzzle.
Another thing I found interesting is that he was able to use magic without the use of an amulet, similar to Ikol's masters. You could see the glow around his hand that just lifts up the amulet Emily wears. There is absolutely no image of Silas wearing an amulet on him while his death bed because Emily IS wearing his amulet. In Book 9, one of Ikol's masters provided a way for Emily to get inside the giant mech robot without doing damaged.
It is revealed in Book 9 that Silas is the one who created Ikol and the machines/Ikol's masters. Not sure he's like the founder of the Intelligent Kinematic Operations Labatory, but he does have influence with it. However, I do believe that Silas wasn't responsible for Ikol's belief in that destruction is human nature, but maybe the machines.
Remember how Ikol's masters wanted to make room on Alledia, an alternate version of Earth, to live on? The reason was because their planet--Earth--was dying. In Book 3(?), Ikol does show Emily a city on Earth being destroyed. Ikol may have shown Emily what exactly happened to Earth in the distant future (a.k.a future vision). And in Earth's distant future could be testing with these powers via technology. Could be from the discovery of something similar to the Mother Stone or the fabric of time and space. Maybe even the Intelligent Kinematic Operations Labatory was responsible for these amulets!
Perhaps Silas found a way to travel back through time through the void in order to prevent this from happening. But then he ended up FAR into the past, got married with someone at some point, had Karen, and then disappeared into Alledia where he may have hoped for people to help him via amulet. Unfortunately, Silas couldn't accomplish what he had to set up to do because of aging, and leaves it up to Emily to try to solve this issue in preventing the end of the world. That's a lot of responsibility and faith he's putting into a teenager-
There are things that could be disproved, but that's what I tried making sense of this section of lore. But I'm curious what people think about this theory tbh. It's been a fun journey with the Amulet series. Despite its flaws, it will always have a place in my heart.
Thanks for telling me!
This sounds very specific and I'm wondering if you have any unresolved issues (I know I do lol)
The best way to describe the amulet book series is to pretend you find a really cool water slide. You can’t see inside the slide because of the exterior but it looks cool enough so you go through it. The first half is fun and entertaining and you can’t wait to see what’s next, then the second half comes and it’s covered in shit. Like there’s an inch tall layer of shit in the water of the tunnel. You don’t leave because you are already in the shit waterslide and it’s too steep to climb up and leave. As you go down the shit stained slide gets smellier and dirtied and there is more shit in it and before you know it, you are neck deep in shit water. When you finally exit the slide, you are glad it’s over but you still smell like shit and no matter what you do, you can’t get that smell out.
I probably shouldn't have gone to that trippy ass mirror maze the other day because holy shit I had a dream about amulet getting adapted into an animated series, except that it was combined with other books I didn't even know about getting adapted in it too?
It was more confusing that the concept of a handwich, basically there was some sort of show about a disillusioned girl or whatever from this unknown graphic novel about ghosts and stuff. Where Emily Amulet comes in is the part that she's somehow an illusion (or at least fictional) in the in universe world of this story in the animated adaption alongside some other comic characters I didn't know shit about. Somehow the amulet fanbase was happy about the animated adaption but the fanbase about the other graphic novel wasn't and were pissed cause it wasn't a faithful retelling of the story.
Personally, I have no words on what to think of if except for this, "what the actual fuck was that"
