If Epic the Musical was an anime
Hellooo! I hope you aren't dead but I was just rereading your Scott and Grian watcher au and I just wanted to let you know that I think it's neat and I was thinking about it again today!!!
Not dead!!!
Suffering through uni exam revision (pictured) right now and otherwise. Absolutely losing it, one might say. Brain damaged enough that the only module I seem to understand is quantum mechanics.
But I’ve gotten a few messages like this and I just wanted to give some general updates about life things because I am still alive (especially as my Life Series hyperfixation feels like it might make yet another comeback this summer. Just have to push it down and lock in for exams first) and I really appreciate the messages :)). I really liked working on it and am thinking of maybe rebooting it and like actually thinking out a proper full story for it instead of just doing whatever came to mind. I’d love to fully develop this and have some ideas saved from last year.
I have an unfinished animation from last year too which I might post here at some point if I can find it and it isn’t too terrible. If I do manage to lose it over the life series again I’ll definitely do more stuff with that AU and hopefully some more animating :))
Will have a lot of time on my hand not long after exams as I’ll be recovering from top surgery. Been trying to get my life together this year and am currently also 6 months on T and have a referral for an ADHD diagnosis so lot of things going on. Obviously will let the ADHD do whatever it wants over summer but I’m hoping if I get medicated I can actually lock in properly during uni and still allow myself time to draw instead of feeling guilty about not working but then still not working :))
Anyway the more I’m thinking about it the more I want to do stuff for that AU so I fear I’m going to have to stop here lest I ruin my chances at revision as for some strange reason I am very easily distracted. Will hopefully be back on my nonsense in a month or so (if I live through my exams that is)
sorry maybe one day ill stop being mad about how the anime adapted the confession arc but today is not the day because im stuck thinking about how much of a blunder it was not to include this page
because like. to me this was the thing that defined my reading of this arc. this was the moment that made me go "oh, this isn't mob unconsciously doing this, this is someone else"
so then when you read through the rest of it you share mob's frustration. why are all these people treating this thing like it's mob? this isn't mob. this is some dangerous entity puppeting his body and hurting people! mob would never do this!
and then
oh.
oh.
this is mob.
this is mob as much as the teru who nearly killed someone who refused to fight back just because they didnt share his worldview is teru. this is mob as much as the ritsu who hurt dozens of people weaker than him just because he could is ritsu. this is mob the way the reigen who lied to him for years is reigen.
the part of you that lashes out and hurts people when you're scared or hurt or frustrated isnt some other scary thing that you have to control.
it's just you.
but people still love you.
This is actually it. Like this is the point of the show
Antibiotics and Telophase fighting in Little Wolf
With the shattering of the Canary curse that used to cling to Jimmy throughout the Life Series, a new curse or mantle has emerged known as the "Spider (Black Widow)" that has chosen Grian as its vessel. It's been like that ever since Limited Life, where Grian has consistently being the last one eliminated from his team.
As spiders are commonly known for producing delicate pieces of webbing to capture prey or the unfortunate, it fits Grian and his inherent responsibility over the Life Series. Every teammate of his from the Badboys, Roomies and the Spanners has tread the web of uncertainty and fallen prey to the predator that is Grian. Acting as a false support or friend until the final endgame where Grian conicidently outlives them and directly moves onto a different team to join them (with the exception of Secret Life where his alliance was killed in the finale with him). Seemingly to catch new prey for a larger feast.
Even his latest defensive build of the tower in Wild Life where he dubbed it as "The Spider's Nest" where both his teammates died essentially wraps Grian's arc of being the inheritent of the "Black Widow" curse and catching his teammates from his own doing.

hey so what if third life was just an epic game of gaga ball during recess
I don't know whether you have intentions to respond to my last reblog, but I ask that you read it and can I please also ask you to remove the maintags from your initial post or at least edit it to not vague and alienate me and other people who your post is written to be aimed at even thought they haven't done anything to be disregarded with hostility? I ask sincerely, thank you
(I did intend to respond but got caught up with life stuff.)
I will not remove the post in general or from the main tags for the following reasons.
Analyzing a “character moment” that isn’t actually a character moment and describing the “character” as negative is the same as calling the creator negative. It has been a problem for a while and is affecting the creators.
There are way too many Joel fans specifically who have it out for Scott the creator. I understand that you are not one of them, but that does not excuse the words and actions of those who have called Scott rancid things in “defense” of Joel. If you feel alienated by one poster, imagine how awful Scott must feel being alienated by thousands of posters that call him awful things just for being harmlessly himself with his friends. I understand that receiving hate is part of the job, but the amount Scott receives is disproportionate to the rest of his peers, and we all know why.
“Not having done anything to me personally” is not a reason for me to not be very upset with people who are mistreating someone, especially if they are being incredibly unfair in their judgement. Judging by your reblog, you seem to have no idea how awful and aggressive people have been towards Scott. There’s no civility from them, and being civil about the situation isn’t working or going to work.
If people are going to put Scott hate in the main tags, intentional or not, they’re going to get a response in the main tags. If you don’t like it, you can block me. That’s fine, but you don’t get to excuse talking negatively about Scott, or, for that matter, anyone else, by referring to a decision as a “character” when you’re just talking about a decision that the real person made of themselves. That’s incredibly hurtful and alienating. Just because you had innocent intentions doesn’t mean you didn’t say something incredibly hurtful.
I WILL alter the post to be more general and make a note that I have done so, but I hope you understand that you can’t analyze a “character moment” that is out of roleplay if you’re just going to call “one of the characters” worthy of being killed 5 times for being playful with his friend. That wasn’t cool. Your whole analysis was basically pushing that Scott is an instigator and Joel is a victim. I understand that that wasn’t your intention, but it definitely came off that way what with how you insisted that Joel should be allowed to kill Scott repeatedly despite them being relatively even. Maybe it was just bad luck on your end, but you villainized a person who has been repeatedly taken out of the context that he’s teasing his friends and then villainized irrationally as a person.
so more assignments happened and this weekly theory has been postponed to further down the week and possible the next week, but know unlike last time, it is in the process of making.
