The greatest moment in life is when you achieve something you never set out to achieve. It is a moment so profound that the entirety of your goals shifts to this one action; this one reaction. It ignites a reserve of energy you have never been able to tap and you find yourself being able to complete anything and everything you found impossible before. You found it. You found the reason for living. It is in this one moment, this second. You found it in a pair of eyes whom in their depths you see an eternity swarming around your future. And it is in this future you see love.

Two Years Deep into Depression

I have become A half-empty fishtank What remains within me is gasping for breath.

The stagnant water Circles my hands In the corner the filter struggles to work.

You can hardly See inside me anymore I haven’t bothered to clean the surface.

You will find me Outside on the curb Unwanted and free.

A poem inspired by a lack of motivation to maintain daily hygiene. Depression is so hard sometimes.
