The seven husbands of Taylor Swift- a comparative essay. 

so I know that this isn't my usual smut post and i've been kinda MIA but I've been reading The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo and there's many, many references to Taylor swift and/ or Kaylor so I want to write an essay on it. I am posting it to tumblr to give me a reason to finish it cause I never finish essays. this is just the opening paragraph (or half of it depending on if I add to it or the feed back I get back from my bestie), I've been working on my writing and I'm very proud of this so far. I hope you like it and I am open to feed back if you have any :)

Taylor swift, a woman whose closet is made of glass, and the fictional character Evelyn Hugho from “The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo” by Taylor Jenkins Reid, a woman who spent half her time loving Celia St. James  and the other half hiding how much she loved her both have one thing in common, they fell in love with a woman while dating a man. It started in a closet at an awards show after being told her new friend, Celia St. james, is a lesbian Evelyn decided to confront the red haired woman which leads to a kiss. At some point between 2010-2012 Taylor and Karli met while Swift was dating her then beard Harry Styles, their first public interaction was on twitter on January 17th 2012 with Karli tweeting “hey @(Taylorswift13) love the @(vogue magazine) cover! Your kitchen or mine?”.  Many fans often compare Evelyn and Taylor, they being two women who have had a secret relationship with a women (or multiple in Taylor’s case- Hey, dianna). 

My favorite thing about question..? is that taylor singing about what she would say to karli's little gay husband

"Did you every have someone kiss you in a crowded room?" Kiss gate. the 1975 concert. The Matty Healy relationship was to point back to Karli and kiss gate and you are in love. she's trying to scream hey, look at us, this is the lead singer of the band karli and I went to see when we kissed. That why matty had said he wasn't writing songs about taylor, cause it wasn't real, it was a hair pin dropped right on the doorstep of kissgate.

"Do you wish you could still touch ...her?" the dots infer that there was a pause, a secret code between beards

"Did you wish you put up more of a fight?" He tried to fight the gender-rolls and politics. To be openly gay. but the fight wasn't fruitful, he got pushed into the ( very glass) closet

"And what's that, that I heard, that your still with her. That's nice, i'm sure that's what's suitable and right" After all those years they're still bearding. they're still wrapped up in gender-rolls and politics

which, of course, could mean nothing but can I ask you a question...?

I've been writing a lot to help with my anxiety, some of it's smut and some of its me trying to be better at writing romance. one of the fics that i'm writing in attempt to get better at writing romance, a lot of it is terrible but I wrote something and it's been on my mind.

“I don’t know if I believe in god or a heaven but when I die and if I meet him I will thank him for everyday I’ll spent loving you” 

there's just something about it. Like if someone ever said this to me I would sob. like full on.

And the place within the fic in which it is said would kill me. It's a Spencer Reid x OC, their married and on a case. They just got back from the police station and OC had ran a bath while Spencer got chinese food to enjoy. They got in the bath together and was just talking, Spencer was staring at OC as she talked with the most loving eyes. She paused and asked what was wrong and he just dropped that.

I just think that it's the most romantic thing I've written to date and if you'd like me to post it lmk cause I will, it won't be very good but it will be something with a little bit of smut but mostly romantic shit.
