Excerpt from an alternate reality game (ARG) made for video game “Ultrakill”. It reads: “Hell is alive. It breathes. It thinks. The entire area is a massive intelligent superorganism and it is harsh and it is cruel. Just by watching us it has learned how our systems and machines work. It has not only begun to deconstruct our technology but also reassemble it in perverse ways, attaching parts to the creatures it tortures, making them into an aimless army of death and destruction. It warps them across itself to get them past out security. It locks our doors to trap us with them.

Thinking about the concept of Memetic Hazards and Memetic Weaponry in the SCP-verse. Thinking about the Antimemetics Division. About living ideas; ideas that feed and propagate and multiply and evolve.

Thinking about Gods; the stories we tell that influence our behavior, these narratives that shape the logic behind personality. The spirits that needn’t be real for horrors to be committed in their name.

Thinking about the parasitic worm of Fascism working its way through Civilization, finding itself fat and comfortable both in the hallucinogenic kaleidoscope of Hinduism and the austere purity of Protestantism.

Thinking about Snow Crash; the origin of the term Avatar in its modern usage, about the villain who weaponized language to hijack people’s nervous systems with gospel and computers.

About the holographic model of the cosmos. The holographic model of the mind. The natural laws as a kind of operating system for reality. The implications of miracles in such a context; what nature of being undermines the code.

Living Ideas. Gods that cannot die, because they were never alive, but are like Life, living as a signal in the air, a song or a story; a pattern of lights, the printed page, the phone; Viruses in the Operating System of Civilization. Self-propagating, mutating, evolving.

I dunno. I can’t find the right words to express it. But. There’s a. Pattern. There’s a signal in the static. I can hear it, but I can’t pick the notes apart. But. There’s an Insight, wedged into the crack. There’s something True lodged in there.

I’ll sleep on it. That usually helps.

Not sure if alot of people are going to see this but do you think it would be possible to reimagine / recreate the urban spook thing?

Gordon Freeman has 3 siblings, one cousin, one son, and one nephew

Gorden Freeman(Freeman’s Mind), oldest sibling

A jerkass who could honestly use a rest. He always seems to have great comebacks... He hangs out with Joshua if he needs to, but he’s usually off doing his own thing.

Felix Freeman(Felix’s Mind), first middle sibling

A cynical ass who’s constantly tired of being compared to his brother. He runs entirely on coffee and burnt bagels. He can’t help but be nice to Joshua, though.

Gordon Freeman(hlvrai)

John Freeman(Half-Life: Full Life Consequences), youngest sibling

An eccentric and hyper fella who’s admittedly not the best with words. He loves his brothers and would do anything to help them, and his nephew Joshua.

Gorman Freeman(Gorgeous Freeman), cousin

Gorman thinks he’s really cool and sexy like Duke Nukem, he’s just a big dork. Although, he is admittedly very good looking. He doesn’t like kids and stays away from Joshua.

Joshua Freeman(HLVRAI), Gordon’s son

Joshua was an experiment by Black Mesa to clone people before they made Bubby. Joshua was one of the first attempts at cloning, so he isn’t a perfect clone of Gordon. Gordon didn’t know about the experiment, and one day just had a baby show up at his doorstep like that one movie trope. He decided to take care of him and name him Joshua.

Henry Freeman(Half-Life: Full-Life Consequences 3: Hero Begginning), John’s son

Henry is John’s 14 year-old son, and Joshua’s cousin. Henry, like John, loves to help people and does the best he can to be a good person. Also like John, he’s pretty hyperactive. He’s a surprisingly good leader!
