Quieter time
I am finally back after all the stress of the end of the year and the exams passed I took a little break. But here I am, ready to share many drawings with you in the following weeks.
So let's begin with an art of a young lilith :3, I miss her
I love this manga and Anya is adorable.
{Family ?}
I wanted to make some changes to the background (less blue more red) of my last drawing, nothing extraordinary but I still wanted to share this version

I loved the movie one piece red and I really liked the character of Uta despite some inconsistencies in the story. However, I hope we will see her again.
Concerning the inconsistencies I mentioned.
Of course spoilers for the movie one piece red so read at your own risk and also
TW: The first paragraph talks about suicide so you can skip the paragraph between () and read on if you want to avoid that topic.
(To tell the truth, the more I think about this film, the more I manage to find answers to these inconsistencies:
For example, Uta's plan is to close the dream world by committing suicide using insomnite (a mushroom that prevents her from sleeping and will kill her from exhaustion), because if Uta falls asleep the powers of her fruit ceases but if she dies without passing through the stage of sleep, in this case the world will close in on itself and create a world of eternal utopian; which is Uta's goal. But then if Uta's goal is to die as quickly as possible after taking everyone into the world of singing why not take her own life with a blade, stabbing herself in the heart?
For this question I think I have found an answer: Uta did not really want to have to die to create this utopian world, but she still felt that it was her responsibility. Uta therefore sought to die but in the slowest way possible. At least that's the justification I found.)
There are several inconsistencies that I had on my first viewing but for which I have found a satisfactory explanation over time and which I will surely talk about soon with everything I have to say
However there are other issues regarding the main antagonist: Tot Musica.
The inconsistency is: why when Tot Musica is destroyed at the end of the movie nobody wakes up?
According to what the film tells us about Uta's powers and his connection to Tot Musica is that:
- Uta's devil fruit is a paramecia (not canon in the manga) which allows Uta to create what is called "the world of song" where she is literally the queen / the master / the most powerful. She can do whatever she wants there and can create whatever she wants and put an end to disease, suffering and even death.
- This world of song is a parallel world to the real world, similar to a virtual world (reality and the virtual world were two of the themes that Oda wanted to explore in the film). In this world of song only the soul exists, while the body is left asleep in the real world.
- However, this world requires a lot of energy from Uta so that she can maintain it in place and the latter ceases to exist as soon as she wishes, as soon as Uta falls asleep (most often from fatigue from maintaining this world) or when the demon king Tot musica is defeated simultaneously in both worlds. That's why Uta eats insomnite.
-It seeme only Uta and Tot musica can exist in both the real world and the world of song, since she is seen fighting both in the real world and in the singing world and since Tot Musica appears in the two worlds.
-Uta's devil fruit doesn't give her as much power in the real world as it does in the singing world, but she can still manipulate the bodies of those who are asleep in the real world as she pleases.
-To transport someone into the world of singing and then manipulate them, Uta must make sure that the latter hears them.
-It also seems that if the sound of Uta's voice is cut off in the singing world, that she can no longer be heard, she is unable to create new items/fighters/armors.
-We don't really know when Uta ate the Uta uta no mi because in the movie we see that Uta already has her powers when she was a child and knew Luffy, however in episodes 1029, 1030 and 1031 (which are canon at the moment) movie red but not to the manga universe), Uta shows no signs of her powers and even goes to sea in a barrel with Luffy when she should know that the sea is a danger for Devil Fruit users. Finally it is more a mystery of the anime than of the film.
-The most interesting part now: Uta's devil fruit is said to be related to an entity: the demon king, a kind of evil deity who feeds on the fear and cruelty of men and brings destruction everywhere where he's going.
-Tot musica is imprisoned in the form of sheet music that are sealed in the catacombs of Elegia, and only the Uta uta no mi can release Tot Musica from its partitions.
-To defeat Tot Musica you have to defeat him simultaneously, by destroying his limbs at the same time in the world of song and the real world or Uta falls asleep (apparently that's how Shanks managed to defeat Tot Musica when Uta was 9 years old)
Here is everything you need to know about Uta uta no mi and its link with Tot Musica.
Now a little contextualization of what is happening at the time of which I speak:
Uta has been reasoned with and no longer wants to lock up his audience in the world of song and wants to end all that. When Tot Musica is destroyed, Uta is dying due to accumulated fatigue from lack of sleep induced by insomnite + excessive use of her fruit.
However Shanks comes up with a cure for it and tells Uta that if she takes it she will survive the effects of insomnite and will also be able to sleep.
However before Uta can take the cure she finds that Tot Musica's destruction has not awakened anyone and they continue to fight (only with those who are not sleepy)
But then why the destruction of Tot Musica does not end the trance of the public of Uta, when it was said that it will provoke it?
I have seen someone say that it is because people's souls had already been consumed by Tot Musica and therefore they were no longer "dependent" to the fruit of Uta and its rules.
In truth why not, even if since Tot musica has been destroyed he should no longer be in danger and souls should no longer be his prisoners, so why did they not come back?
In short, the solution is therefore not the destruction of Tot Musica.
And here, I know it was long, the first problem I have: Uta chooses not to take Shanks' potion, she even goes so far as to send the bottle waltzing away, so she can sing and bring everyone back .
So first of all, why didn't Uta take a nap? Her sleeping is supposed to end her Devil Fruit powers, all her Devil Fruit powers, even Tot Musica was stopped the first time by Uta falling asleep. Uta could have taken this potion, slept, brought everyone back and survived.
The only explication would be that Tot Musica had gained enough power and time to become its own entity so no longer depend on the fruit of Uta, but then why its destruction did not cause anything. Because this time Tot Musica was not re-sealed, it was annihilated.
So what? Tot Musica and Uta's devil fruit were no longer connected but the latter could still influence Tot Musica and only Uta's song can undo Tot Musica's soul absorption, despite their ties being cut.
Okay, okay let's say that but then why didn't Uta take a nap then after resting and regaining her strength, didn't she come back to sing this famous song which was supposed to bring everyone back? Because of the navy attacking the public and vice versa? They were mainly looking for Uta, whom Shanks was ready to defend against anyone at the time.
And the public only fought those who didn't sleep, so if everyone left, he wouldn't hurt anyone and would just be confined to the island while Uta rested.
Uta could have left on Shanks' boat and the navy would have had no more reason to kill civilians (even if their basic reason was still flawed but wanted Uta to be stopped). And even if carrying Uta away from Elegia for a nap before bringing her back was too farfetched.
Shanks and his crew had been defending the marine civilians for at least an hour and I'm sure Shanks and his crew would have lasted at least another hour while Uta rested.
In short, Uta could have survived.
Because there was no rush, I mean nothing in the film was shown to us as a danger that had to be eliminated in a limited window of time after the death of Tot Musica. Were souls in danger in the world of Uta when Tot musica had been eliminated? The problem is that if it was the case, it was not shown or said.
Okay their souls had absorbed but the said thing that had absorbed them had just been destroyed and no souls seemed in danger anymore. We didn't see the world closing in on itself or souls being destroyed... I rather had the impression that they could have held on here for a long time.
So why did Uta want to sing her song at all costs even if it means dying.
And especially why did Uta destroy the antidote?
Already with the strength she must have had, she was dying and could barely stand, she still managed to send the antidote flying away with enough force to break it. Moreover she sent it away from the hands of Shanks, we are still talking about Shanks a rather strong guy who holds in his hand the remedy to save his dying daughter whom he had to abandon to protect her, letting her (and everyone) believe he was a traitor and a monster, said daughter that he hasn't seen for 10 years and that he can now save with what he holds in his hand and it's Uta's little hand that make the bottle fly away from his hand. She didn't catch it pretending she was going to drink it and then throw it away, no she slapped it out of Shansk's hand.
Because at worst, Uta sings her song to bring everyone back to the real world, okay but she could have taken the cure after, and with any luck, she would have survived. Why destroy all her chances.
Besides how, why does this song bring souls back when the destruction of the one who absorbed them did not work?
It turns out I think way too much and there is an explanation that escapes me…
But the little detail that bothers me the most is: the inconsistency of the room where the sheet music are locked.
In the past, Uta's voice reaches the sheet music, which frees them, allows them to go to Uta and free the first time tot Musica. So this room is not hermetic to sound but in the present, for the scriptwriting need, suddenly this room is hermetic to sound so it has not been modified by her powers, so the heros could see the legend of Tot Musica and how to defeat it. I wanted to believe that it is because this room harbored a curse or that Uta did not wish to modify it but in the film, the characters themselves tell us that this room has not been modified because no sounds can get into it.
Even the whole story behind how Uta called Tot Musica the first, being the sheet music that “gave Uta the eye” sounds bad to me, but that is up to me. But I think I would have preferred another version than just “it made eyes at her”. For example why not more involved the people of Elegia, who, for exemple ,on learning that Uta did not wish to stay , out of greed to want to make the most of her voice and out of greed to hear her sing, made her sing Tot Musica . One could even imagine, if we start with a darker scenario, that to keep this voice coming from the sky someone, not necessarily everyone, has made Uta sing Tot Musica,in the hope of making her stay ignoring the destruction that it was going to spawn or having being misinformed. This would have reinforced Gordon's choice to want so much to help Uta, to redeem his people who were involved in their own destruction.
Other small details that sound a little wrong:
-I know Shanks was in a hurry and the navy was coming, but I'm not sure of his plan to leave his 9-year-old daughter on the island she just destroyed with its previous leader who also loved Tot Musica too much to destroy the partiton that allows you to invoke him by passing through his daughter.
So he wanted her to become a great singer and fulfill her dream and even though Gordon was a great musician and could make a great singer out of her, there was no one left on the island to share her talent with and even Gordon didn't know how he was going to share her talent.
So maybe he didn't want to take Uta with him as the navy went after them.
But if he really had to abandon Uta, I'm not sure that the island she destroyed just before was the right idea. Then what if Gordon was a little more resentful than that towards the person who brought about the destruction of his country. I guess he swore on sheet music but you never know...
Why not the island of Fuschia where she would not have had to suffer from loneliness and where there was Luffy, her friend.
-Why Shanks waited 10 years, okay he told her that if she chose to stay at Elegia he would come back to see her when she was a great singer but then she did not choose to stay so he should not have applied this sentence. But well we will say that it was to hide his existence but I don't know... at least a letter even if the lie he had told Gordon to tell prevented that a little
-Also the fact that we learn that Uta was aware that Shanks hadn't loot Elegia, so why continued to blame Shanks (well I admit I'm thinking about that and maybe I I found the reason but it will be for a next time and surely a post)
-Last little detail which is more of an absence of information: what happens if a body is killed while its soul is in the singing world? Does his soul "die" too? If so, immortality cannot exist in the singing world but Uta said otherwise. And could the body have died of starvation or dehydration? Unless the soul feeds the body (I can conceive that idea).
But if the death of the body does not affect the soul, why is Uta so disturbed and concerned when a civilian is shot by the navy? Uta's purpose is in the singing world and she should just care about souls.
Well after several things can explain it:
1-Uta had already become a bit unstable due to insomnite, and had to question her new era plan and maybe she wanted to keep the way to send souls back to their body.
2-Uta did not want, despite everything she did, to cause death and carnage, especially among her audience.
I think there was something else but I forgot so if I remember I will probably add it later
Anyway, sorry it was a little long but I'm really invested in this film because I liked it a lot and that's why it's small inconsistencies bother me, it just frustrates me a little, because I say because it could have been avoided or less disturbing. But in itself these elements of the film are not canon to the manga so I can manage to deal with them.
I hope the whole part about why no one woke up was clear because even me while writing, I had to stop so as not to get lost and apply the rules that I was quoting and testing at the same time. If some are a bit wobbly, do not hesitate to say so, so that I can re-clarify the thing or maybe it will finally be debunked.
Of course if someone has an answer to one of the remarks I made, don't hesitate to comment on it or write it in a reblog ;)

I loved the movie one piece red and I really liked the character of Uta despite some inconsistencies in the story. However, I hope we will see her again.
Anne was so badass when she activated her powers that I wanted to draw her in a "divine" way. She looked like a goddess who unwrapped her wrath; it was awesome!
The animation at this moment was incredible, congrats to the team!
"Oh my, look what we got here! A blue haired boy, isn't it fascinating... hmm but what is this ? You have gone through so much, so much anger and resentment
You would have been perfect to unleash the power of moonstone, but fate wanted it otherwise.... . Isn't it funny ?"
I do not know why I think so much of their meeting, and I do not know if I'm the only one that intrigues but with all the anger and resentment that Varian had against Rapunzel and the Corona kingdom, he could have easily exploited the power of moonstone; since the latter seems to work with these emotions.
Yeah I still want Varian to have a link with the moon or Zhan Tiri...
