Just the way she said that Ken was like "tf is wrong with this dude???? " and feels stressed about how her and Teresa's ideas were ignored just because they are girls. I remember when this movie hype started i was OBSESSED with it and then i go to the cinema and everything just feel magical but then i see the movie and i feel how that feeling just get losted and the movie ends and i was like "soooo thats what happened? Thats the story ? Thats how Barbie amd Ken are ???? " and i HATE how that relashionship kinda afected the one they have in their doll forms and in the newer series ☹️

Seeing any scene from Barbie (2023) like:

"He would not fucking say that!"

"She would not fucking say that!"

"He wouldn't fucking do that!"

"He would not fucking wear that!"

I want to open a thread about what small, almost imperceptible details of Barbie make you crazy?

To me it is the parallel that exists in the scenes where Barbie and Ken dare to say how they feel, in ERT when Ken tells Malibu that "is she ready to be more than friends?" she makes a surprised face but in ATOM when she tells Ken that "why they are not more than friends?" he makes the same expression which makes me seems like a nice detail.

In the end, only one knew what to do with her life and lost that feeling of controlling everything :)

SO TRUE !!!!! , I liked the experience more than the movie, but the entire message that Barbie had been teaching since she was born was distorted and in the end the only thing about Barbie that the movie has is the aesthetics and the name but the true message of the franchise is lost, plus I also feel that they were very unfair to Ken because Barbie would never treat him like that and he has much more personality than being "just her boyfriend."

Another thing, the way in which they exiled Weird Barbie with the others who were the canceled ones, is also something that Barbie would not do because although you know the movies, you will know that Barbie played many characters that were exiled for being "different" and in part I feel that the movie stereotypes Barbie as someone superficial when she has never been, it was a good movie with very good production and I really liked it but I feel that they needed to stick more to what Barbie is, what she has been teaching us and what she really means.

I personally really don’t like the 2023 Barbie movie, there’s a lot of things I didn’t like about it- I’m not a “chick flick” person and it’s very much a chick flick movie, the stupid adult humour, the fact it feels very anti male, the big hype it bought when all of sudden it was “cool” to be a Barbie fan and all fashion went pink even though a lot of these “fans” may not of even thought about Barbie since childhood or even acknowledged her before but their phrase went away as soon as the hype was over, but the worst thing about it for me is the way Barbie treated Ken. I know the joke is “no one has Ken without a Barbie” and “he’s just an accessory” blah blah blah (even though I had two Ken dolls growing up and I loved them) but true Barbie fans who have watched the Barbie movies, Life in the dreamhouse, dreamhouse adventures and grew up with Barbie dolls know he’s much more than that and to me she adores him just as much as he adores her. He’s the perfect boyfriend who dotes on her and does anything for her but she’s equally just as in love with him. If you liked the movie that’s cool but I’d rather forget it exists and focus on my beloved classic Barbie movies 🩷
