Но посмотрите, какой теперь у меня эскорт,
И змеи вьются в моих распущенных волосах!
Прощай, мой Даниил. Будь счастлив.
Всё к лучшему. А я всегда хотела умереть именно так,
Ева

POV you're encountered the Inquisitor during her first (and probably the only) smoking break of the day
I randomly remembered a dream au I had and all I made up after I woke up(and the first thing I did was drawing them before I forget)
It was a Pathologic archaeological au, where Yulia is, well, an archaeologist, and Eva is some kind of a ghost? A miracle? Only Yulia could see her. Eva was some kind of a girl anachronism — all of her clothes was from different centuries btw. She was talking about Utopia where she was from and Yulia almost went insane trying to dig it up or simply understand
And then it was November, the season was over, everyone went home. Except Yulia. She stayed, but in December she had to come back, she has to do work in the Capital.
And also there was Lara Ravel, who was also an archaeologist who could almost see Eva(and also was the one cooking food for the expedition)
And Aspity was a local weirdo who sweared to curse all of them for digging holes here and there
And there was Bad Grief who heard they were digging gold there, came to steal at night bud managed to steal only a shovel
#oh my god #please let me kiss the hands that made this #I love your attention to the detail and the symbolism is beautiful #the two versions just broke my heart. the way she seems reaching up and falling down at the same time??? OH MY GOD
My beautiful wife left me to become a church : (
The fun thing about this piece is that it works both ways
I realized that I've never seen anyone mention it, so here you go.
Trammel, a place where Yulia lives, is called Невод, in Russian. Невод is a very specific outdated word for a fishing net. In most Russian speaking minds it is immediately associated with one and only place where we all have heard it.
Alexander Pushkin, 'The tale of the fisherman and the fish'.
A tale about catching a golden fish.
There's only one character in p1 who is very obviously golden. And lives in Stillwater.
