REAL RELA REAL i hate when ppl hate namgyu but then glaze Thanos.... all bcuz he's "hot" it actually pisses me off SO bad. they're both bad people it doesn't make sense to hate one then love the other

does anyone else hate how differently people treat namgyu nd thanos?

I was on reddit earlier (first mistake) trying to find some good/interesting character analysis on namgyu and maybe thanos too but the way people talk abt him is so odd?????

Like the first post I saw was someone saying how they think Namgyu was a serial killer before joining the games (i heavily disagree with this) and every reason they listed as to why they thought this could just as easily be applied to thanos... he was laughing/smiling when he killed someone? Thanos caused the death of three people whilst smiling after being splattered by the blood of a woman he'd just been trying to get with. He's narcissistic? brother look at Thanos.

"Oh but thanos was on drugs he didn't know what he was doing"

the only time Namgyu goes out of his way to kill people he has just lost the closest thing he has to a friend inside the games and is on twice the amount of drugs that thanos was taking throughout the games.

A knee ways imo they're both as bad as eachother and people should stop treating one of them like an evil murder junkie whilst trying to claim the other did nothing wrong.

Ways I notice Gi-hun has changed:

- rarely eats. we see him eating all the time before and during the games of season 1, but never saw him eating this season. he is noticeably skinnier

- his facial expressions and moods are only of sadness, distress, and anger. we only see him smile 3 times. no other emotion is seen on his face, unlike how he was before where he was very expressive. he still is, but the range of the emotions are so small.

-he doesn’t move around as much, like every ounce of energy is drained from him

-he has more of a smoking habit

-this man does absolutely no relaxing. you can tell how tense his body and mind is at all times

-he’s learned how to defend himself better

-he has no one, and i mean absolutely no one by his side in those three years between the games. he has jung bae for a little while, but he loses him too.

-there is no light in his eyes anymore

-he doesn’t talk as often as he used to, and when he does it’s pretty monotone compared to how he used to talk

Basically the games sucked every drop of light out of this man and we will never get the old gi hun back. I mourn this loss every day.

gwinam fucking SUCKS. he is a terrible character, stop romanticizing him or whatever. I don't care if he's "hot" or "attractive" -- call the ACTOR that. not the character. i will always be a diehard gwinam HATER i actually hate him so much. worst character in the ENTIRE show.

he literally sexually assaulted eun-ji, practically exploited her. and yet people still are a diehard stan of this man. Eun-ji deserves the world, stan her instead of that creature gwinam..

anyways on a side note; no hate to anyone who ships this.. (i GUESS. a little hate though.) how do people ship gwinam and cheongsan ... like GENUINE question, what do you guys see.. i mean gwinams whole goal was to literally KILL this man. he wants him dead in the ground. WHY ARE WE SHIPPING GWINAM WITH ANYBODY FOR THE RECORD.... this man would NOT be a good partner. he isn't a good person so what makes u think he'd love anyone enough to actually treat them well

Specifically the Daeho/Junhee ship, since for some reason everyone collectively agreed that they're sibling coded and decided it's everyone's problem now.

Before you attack me, I don't mind seeing them as siblings, alright? If you think they're like older brother and younger sister, that's fine! Cute, even, considering Daeho is the youngest in his family and now he finally got a chance to be in his sisters' shoes.

What's NOT fine, is being a party pooper about it and nagging the shippers with "But they're literally siblings!" WHEN THEY'RE LITERALLY NOT?? It just makes us (yeah, I'm one of the shippers, that's why I'm frustrated) look like villains with shipping two adults that are not blood-related. Why

"Myunggi/Junhee is canon" yeah, it is. So? Gihun and his wife were also canon. Ali and his wife are canon. Deoksu and Minyeo too. You don't have an issue shipping them with other characters, why is it an issue now?

"Daeho is literally gay" I'M GOING TO KILL YOU. Daeho was raised primarily by women, has a "non-masculine" haircut, and knows best how to play a traditionally girly game. You saying he's gay just feeds into the harmful stereotype that gay men are feminine. You are not aiding the queer community I fear.

Since Squid Game 2 has a transgender character who was a special forces solider, I’d like everyone to remember the memory of Sergeant Byun Hee-soo, a transgender soldier (the very first publicly known) who committed suicide in 2021 after being expelled from the South Korean army for undergoing gender confirmation surgery.

I know Cho Hyun-ju being played by a cisgender actor is less than ideal, but I’m keeping in mind how much difficult it is when it comes to feminism and LGBT issues in South Korea. Hopefully her character will bring some good!
