thing about ryuji that fucks me up so bad is that not only IS it really common for abused kids to become abusive as parents themselves but we’ve already seen ryuji has the same anger issues and traits that would lead to him very easily continuing the cycle. and so many horrible people in his life tell him that he WILL, hell already IS. but he’s just so. he tries so hard. he doesn’t want to hurt the people close to him at all. actively tries to save and protect others, even people he doesn’t know well at all. he just loves, so so much. it’s so nuanced and perfect. it’s absolutely gut wrenching. it’s tear jerking man

love the way people are writing nam-gyu as being kind of an asshole, but i would also like to add that he’s pretty much a loser. like yeah, he’s a scumbag, but the way he’s following thanos around? the way he thanks the guard for the food? the way he tries to boss people around but nobody listens to him? that’s meow meow if i’ve ever seen one. like yeah he’s evil but he’s evil the way a middle schooler is evil.
