Sometimes it can be hard to break out of that bubble. And a lot of me wishes it were as easy as black and white but it's not. I'm the only leftist in my whole extended family, i can count the democrats on one hand, and my two gay cousins voted for Trump. The people I'm out to voted for Trump, my sister even gloated about it.

I still live with my family, and I love my family. Are there parts of them i don't love, yes the part that doesn't worry about my rights in the future. But I understand they don't do it out of malice, just ignorance. They prioritize pro life and immigration over my rights, and I just have to live with that. People are nuanced, they're complex. Yeah it fucking sucks but that's just the world we live in

Young people have GOT to stop talking about conservatives like they're scary menacing monsters. Yes the policies they back are horrifically destructive but that's entirely because of how individually stupid, fearful, emotionally stunted, weak willed and catastrophically gullible they are. That all is what made them become right wing to begin with. Just the most easily manipulated zombie sheep on earth.

Underwater thoughts

The end of Get in the Water, Jorge does an awesome job at making the listener truly feel like Odysseus is underwater. I think that the voices we hear is not just the people that Ody has lost in the journey, but echos of the underworld. It's the people he's lost telling him that they are waiting for him to join them in death.

I see it as less of them saying that to show that they support him, and more to show that Odysseus really was dying. It was the reminder of all he'd lost tho that made him climb back onto his raft.
