It's been raining. Again. ⛆🌧🌫☔The pond has flooded over, I can't get out of my front yard (not pictured, 'cause no one wants to see that mess😐), I had to cancel the new contractor's work today, and I'm praying we don't flood. It's been a long day, but I had a lovely dinner at Cracker Barrel with Leocadia and out guest, Kendall! I spent some time in Toys R Us to see what fun stuff I could find.. The store only had 10% off the majority of stuff, American Girl was also 10% off and the place was decimated! There were tons of Wellie Wishers Camilles and when I asked about purchasing a display doll, I was told they weren't being sold; despite all the display cases obviously empty and the dolls gone, except for the two I asked about. 😑 TL;DR: TRU was crazy, crap help, no doll stuff. #toysrus #toysrusclosing #agig #welliewishers #americangirl #americangirlbrand #kendalldoll #dinnerwithdaughter #cantgetgoodhelpthesedays

Leocadia's daycare is celebrating St. Patrick's Day with lessons about St. Patrick, the symbolism of the shamrock, and other....stuff.... And this afternoon they're having a party😄 However, I didn't get the memo sent out last week about the kids making a "Leprechaun Catcher" at home and bringing it for the party, sooo... it didn't get made😐 Now I have about 4 hours to come up with a "Leprechaun Catcher". Pinterest, here I come!😅

We've started work on the bathroom!!! The awesome super carpenter guy hiding his face is John, the husband of my friend Melanie😊 He's already squared up the step for the toilet and closet area (we have wierd plumbing, don't ask 😒) and is fixing the wall to ready it for hanging sheet rock. I have to pick up some mildew killer/sealant spray for the damaged wood and walls and then we'll be able to move forward with mudding, sanding, and eventually painting after that cures for a few days! I'm so relieved that all the problems that weren't tackled by the previous contractor are FINALLY being fixed! Courtesy of @hgtv , the whole of the White House looks lovely (despite who's in it, the decorators always do their best 👍) but what is so jarring is this particular hallway. It's fugly. It should be in A Nightmare Before Christmas fan fic movie (And I love Nightmare Before Christmas). It makes zero sense with the rest of the House, unless the designer/decorator wanted to make a jarring and bleak statement about the current state of affairs...🤔 Anyways, I won't watch the HGTV special, since my 4 year old controls the TV. So those of you who do watch the special, let me know what you think of the White House this Xmas!
