matakara and his idealisation reminds me of pygmalion ????? where he builds a perfect, rose-shaded vision of arajin that is put so high up on his Pedestal. when that vision is essentially challenged by arajin himself, who is “given life” (a chance to honor the truth) and becomes human, therefore Flawed by extent, matakara is shattered and rejects him. and his love is then made conditional.
arajin is silly, yet hes never paraded himself as anything but. matakara is the sillier one for fooling himself :(
"Then why don't you teach him?"
"Huh?"
"Aren't you going to live together again?"
"Yeah! When I save up enough money, we'll rent an apartment together! When we do, you've gotta come over!"
"I'm going to busy with Mahoro-chan, so no way."
"Then bring Jin-san with you!" "Not a chance!"
I have so, so many thoughts on today's episode. all i can say is this- they cooked in more ways than one. expect some posts on rambles and theories i have soon, one of which is definitely an analysis on the fight between matakara and arajin, because that stood out as a pivotal moment to me.
Ara-chan. I always believed in you. I knew you would do the right thing! I'm not the one who didn't give up, though. Huh? Forget it. Let's go home. Yeah!
MaJin moment from this episode~
I did find it interesting that while Arajin was laying on the ground and while watching Matakara, he got flashbacks to his childhood when little Matakara got beat up. I think seeing that alone made the guilt smack him back in the face.
But then he saw Mahoro in the same situation, and she stood her ground. He told her to run, because that's what Arajin did and thats what he wished little Matakara did, he didn't want to see her attacked the same way Matakara was.
But she didn't run. I guess seeing his crush stand so strong and brave finally made him not want to run away like he ran away from little Matakara. So instead he got up to defend her, because whether he realizes it or not, he now can defend people who are dear to him.
Now all that I need to see is him willing to defend Matakara, I feel like considering what happened during his childhood itd make sense for this to happen? But his confidence is still low, despite random outbursts of confidence (thanks to Senya)
I dont know much about Aladdin and the overall story, but I've seen people say that Arajin might lose his powers at one point. That would be interesting, since his confidence and strength in fighting came mostly because of Senya
Can’t believe that Utsumi posted another sketch in honour of the final episode of BUCCHIGIRI?! English dub.
i've got another doodle request!!: arajin third wheeling jabashiri and hagure
+ bonus points if he asks hagure about it and hagure says "oh he probably doesnt see me that way" but it's so obvious they have big fat crushes on each other and would do anything for each other... and everyone wants them to get together already!!!
