Somebody must have already pointed this out, but I havent seen it yet, so I will anyways
But, this is literally almost the same dynamic and not only I love it, but I will die on this hill
We have:
- Short red head who is inexperienced at the beggining, constantly tells people that are better then him that he is gonna beat them (and in fact does beat them). Plays mostly on instinct and has a huge amount of potencial and talent
-Taller with black hair who has had problems in his previous team, is known for being rude, kind of bossy and constantly and blatantly tells people their technical faws. Plays with sharp precision and wits, also has a huge amount of talent
-Taller one becomes sort of a mentor figure to our shorty, but at the same time, they both are constantly competing with each other
-Become partners and push each other to the top of their potentials
-Both are completly obsessed with their sports, will practice non stop after practice hours
-Will argue with each other ALL THE TIME(thats basically their default mode), you will know things are serious if they stop talking to each other
Girl, Im sobbing with this one đđđ
I think part of the reason Iâm so obsessed with MXTXâs works is the way that each story seems to hold you gently as say âYour kindness mattered. It didnât alleviate the suffering, it did not undo the pain. But your kindness mattered.â
Kindness could not erase Luo Bingheâs abuse, but it changed the story into a kinder one.
Kindness did not stop Wei Wuxianâs death, but it did save a-Yuan.
Kindness did not undo Xie Lianâs suffering, but it renewed his sincerity to help others.
Kindness did not change the entire world, but it helped create a softer future.
Its such a nice message, that maybe kindness will not protect you, maybe you donât see the outcome of it, but you should still try to be kind, and I love that honestly.
Biting is a love language too
And the fact Andrew doesnt feel threatned by Neil's ability to pick locks, bc he trusts Neil entirely and knows that Neil will never cross his boundarys, even if he is able to
you ever think about how important keys are to neil and locks are to andrew and how they're also the only characters in the series shown to be able to pick them. because i do. im actually always thinking about neil liking having keys bcus it means he belongs somewhere and therefore doesnt need to pick the lock. im always thinking about how andrew needs locks to feel safe and how neil's respect of that boundary despite having the tools to cross it is the reason andrew even lets him in. im thinking about it.
Yes.
Kevin would not - could not - defend himself against Riko. Years of abuse and torture beat into him that he was to obey Riko.
But when Riko goes for Neil, Kevin tries to stop him. He catches Riko's arm, he lays a hand on him, he goes against him. Because protecting Neil, who at the time was just some random nobody Kevin was trying to mentor, was more important than his fear of Riko.
Neil kissed his survival instincts goodbye when he defended Kevin against Riko on TV, but Kevin also fought against his survival instincts to protect Neil from Riko just a few minutes later.
Realising the Ravens played Exy the way Tetsuji wanted and the Tojans the way Kayleigh wanted, and thatâs why USC is Kevinâs favourite team.
Kay, so obviously weâre never getting an AFTG tv show, but can you imagine the comedic gold of some of it being shot in the mockumentary style as âThe Officeâ
Like, obviously not the more traumatic or gory scenes, but, like the first tv interview with Kathy? The âyou know I get itâ speech? Getting everyoneâs first thoughts on Neil joining the team? Watching Wymack realize that Andriel is a thing? Do you see the vision
You think Tilda ever slipped her pills into Aaron's food when he was just a kid to get him to finally calm down, shut up, and go to sleep? You think she brought boyfriends over and let them beat on Aaron and send him running to get beers from the fridge like an errand boy? You think Tilda would grab Aaron by his hair hard enough to leave bald patches bad enough that Aaron would wear beanies and caps all the time? You think Aaron ever ran away with a small second hand book bag and a couple of shirts and jeans and the only toy Tilda ever got him, only to come back after two days and realize Tilda never even knew he was gone. You think Aaron loved school, not because he got to get away from home or hang out with friends, but because he gets to eat a whole meal, even if school lunches weren't that good. You think Aaron ever tried to wake up Tilda from an overdose, with shaking hands and shallow panicked breaths, he tries to stay calm enough to remember what he has to do, just give her the narcan and everything should be fine (by the third time his hands no longer shake, by the fifth he realizes he wants to be a doctor). You think on the rare occasion Aaron goes to church with Luther he can't help but make a prayer, not for a new family, not for his mom to go away, not for her to stop hitting him, but for Tilda to look at him with love, to take him out to eat, show up at his exy games, for her to be clean, for her not to die the next time she takes to much.
Our queen Kevin "it is easier to make court if you are straight" Day
I was going to change the username but then I realized there was too many people it applied to so I decided to leave it up to interpretation
Sometimes it feels like everyone around me is speaking in a secret language and I'm the only one who doesn't know it.
