One of the events in the kirby series that made me realize that there was more going on beneath the surface of the games.
Kirby’s just one of those things that’s easy for me to draw when I don’t know what to draw.
Wanted to exercise the design muscles so I drew some friends in a group chat as object characters. Here's batch 1!
Have a project in the works but needed to go back and brush up on how I draw Olimar. Pikmin fever came back with a vengeance I'll tell you what.
My sister likes Character D so I drew Character D. I may call him Dennis
I got into a creature design kick, maybe I’ll use these guys for a story.
Every cent counts. I need the money to fund myself in case situation at home goes awry. I will officially work on commissions on May, but you are welcome to reserve a slot. I have 10 open.
EDIT: I receive payments upfront now!
hmmmm, i wanna reblog cool stuff, but idk if I want to use this blog or another blog....
I finished the main parts of the patterns! All thats left now is to add some fake zippers since the real ones are too small to show up, finish the lining inside, and make a cushion to stuff him with when not being used as a backpack. I would make some process notes but im pretty tired and its all a blur by now, lemme know if you genuinely want some thoughts I can scrounge something.
Got a pattern for glisten down! still need to test it but I'm super happy! Can't wait to put it together and see how it goes. I still have to properly break down the pattern into a printable file but ill worry about that when i know the pattern works. Gotta also worry about his accessories but we're getting there!
More details under the cut!
decided to make glisten's foot in 3d to make a better pattern piece out of it, then sent it to adobe illustrator and traced it and adjusted it to make sure the pieces fit correctly. Gotta make sure it works though cause i only used plushify for 3d models, im worried it wont come out right
the rest is merely a matter of breaking down the pattern into front and back pieces so its pretty self explanatory.
besides that my main concern is making the joints functional but stable. theres also the thickness of the head compared to the body (since the body is only a front and back piece. but i imagine its an easy fix cause i can trim the side head piece. also the seam allowance might be too big but trimming should fix that.
already have the fabric ready for it too. I was gonna prototype it but im kinda impatient plus i imagine the adjustments ill need to do are minor so we ball.
im looking forward to finishing this project. Glisten is a huge comfort character to me and i wanted to make something that i can share with other fans and encourage sewing as a hobby. the pattern still needs some work i think but i look forward to sharing it with yall for free.
that said, please dont spread this around (yet) or try to profit off it. if you want to try out this pattern as it is right now, just be sure to credit me and let people know that pattern isnt finished and redirect them to this post (or some of my other ones) if they're curious. thanks yall
