the moon is a loyal companion
Oh joy. I'm just gonna make a small note here that I read this woman's previous webcomic when I was 16-19, looking for sex ed entering my first relationship, I started reading it religiously for advice on everything from handjobs to anal to bondage. It had no small part in leading right into the deep end of fetish and the fetish community.
I made a FetLife account one my 18th birthday, literally the first thing I did when the clock ticked over to midnight. I wanted to do porn and go to week long kink camps. I'm so fucking glad I didn't, but I'm just saying how this *exact* language and treatment of sex and porn and kink can be harmful to teens. Let alone someone as young as 11. (the youngest I could actually see it marketed too, in middle school.)
But you know what? That's the problem. If we and/or the right actually succeeds in pulling this book from school shelves (which they should) oh joy sex toy and it's peers still exist on the web. With all of the shit they couldn't get past a censor, and you don't have to look your librarian in the eyes to get it... This is just a weird symptom of the sex ed problem being Very Bad for years and years.
Sorry , I just have to share these images from Trans propaganda book entitled Let’s Talk About It. Bc I’m so disturbed.
Apparently this book is/was available to kids as young as five years old (K-12 libraries).

The creator included references for proof that the book is available to an age group starting at age 5. So check that thread if you’re doubtful that children as young as 5 have access to this.
This is absolutely not a “thanks captain obvious” people have been questioning “what makes humans moral” since morality started. and this is a good take 10/10 ilu
recently i’ve been thinking about like… what it means for Dea to be Absolute Good. not that i don’t think that anymore, because i do, but that i’m questioning what that looks like. because up until recently i saw it like this: (please excuse my diagram)
(or well, “bad” being the lack-of-good, i suppose.)
but one of the things i’ve always found cool about filianism is that so many things on a Divine level have (a/n) earthly parallel(s.) when we think of Good things in a broader sense we often think of virtues, like kindness and stuff. so let’s put this into practice:
i think most of us can look at this and see that it doesn’t really show the full picture here. it’s kind of an oversimplification. i for one, when i was a kid, was called a “doormat” a lot. i was kind to the point of self-denying and self-destruction. i reblogged a really cool “virtue continuum” post a while ago that i think sums this up well with other virtues, and that post was basically what sparked this thought process with me. here’s what kindness looks like to me:
(or alternatively, another unhealthy amount of kindness could become enabling, allowing others to get away with things they shouldn’t in the name of kindness.)
the idea is striving for the healthy balance. this also applies to cognitive behavioural therapy! my therapist doesn’t want all my thoughts to be sunshine and rainbows, that’s unrealistic and can also be unhelpful just as excessively negative thoughts are. we strive for a balance.
but with the vague concept of good this model kinda falls apart a bit.
i for one can’t figure out at all what would go in the other side.
but maybe that’s the thing about the concept of “good.” it’s very subjective.
also as many have pointed out, this world is filled with “necessary evils.” my favourite minor example of this i like to give is how, sometimes, a good argument can “clear the air.” is it fun to fight? no! absolutely not! and it’s always better to talk things out civilly with the people we care about. and sometimes we go too far. but sometimes our feelings get the better of us and every little thing we’ve been holding onto just comes flooding out. it’s exhausting, you’re hurt for a while, but sometimes taking the time apart after a fallout and thinking about all the things that were brought up is a good way to reset the grounds, so to speak. everything’s out there, i understand how you feel now, so let’s talk about it again and move forward now that we’re calm. at least, that’s my experience with my own friends.
so i guess very few things are fully black and white.
maybe my first diagram IS correct, and within that diagram is striving for balance, so the “good” side is actually balance and the “bad” side is actually imbalance. maybe like this:
i guess?
anyways this might be old news or already a pretty common “take” (it’s barely a take, it’s just me pondering out loud. this honestly reads more like a weird journal entry if anything) and i’m just slow but… this is kinda how i’m starting to see things. i don’t really know where i was going with this… putting my thoughts out there is kinda hard for me, so thanks for reading if you got this far!
(this is probably such a “thanks captain obvious” post but it felt like something clicked with me personally so. out to the world it goes!)
Do the Jana have any practical, day-to-day spheres of influence? I know they have virtues, but they seem distant.
Tumblr ate my last answer, and this one is far clunkier. Forgive me.
But yes. I have made a study of the Great Janati, pulling from original Madrian sources and modern Filianic sources, as well as personal research. Most of my ideas are still hodge-podge brainstorms, but I will post the three most ‘complete’ answers below.
-Sai Vikhe is the Opener. The cutting edge, the strength to endure. She is the patron of warriors, medical surgeons, firemen, and anyone else who uses blades or force to save lives and remove danger. She is precision, a rallying cry, and the protector of those who cannot protect themselves from the danger they face. At the highest level, she is Holy Valour. The neverending war against the demons, against Irkalla; to fight for eternity, to fight to exhaustion and beyond because without her protection, we would be consumed by monsters within and monsters without. The valour to wield truth like a blade, the sharpest blade.
-Sai Sushuri is the Soother. The healing touch, the deep water. She is patron of psychiatrists, hospice workers, and naturopathic medical professionals, as well as boaters and fishermen; any who make their money off the open waters. She is the calm lake and the terrible storm, for hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. At the highest level, she is Holy Love. Gentle love and fierce love, the love of Dea for us. A love that compelled the Daughter to be shattered for our ultimate healing and redemption, and the love that tore apart the very gates of hell itself.
-Sai Mati is the Knower. The keen eye, the knowing hands. She is patron of advisers, farmers and craftsmen, of those whose hands and minds provide what civilization needs. Librarians, researchers, farmers, mechanics, carpenters; knowledge that improves the material world. At the highest level, she is Holy Wisdom. The saying, “Any work done prayerfully becomes an offering of infinite virtue” comes to mind. The maiden picking apples who cuts one open and is suddenly struck by the epiphany of the Pentacle within- that is Sai Mati.
This is the extent of my comprehensible research. I’ll add to it as I go.
Blessed is she.
my only wish is that once guillermo does turn into a vampire he becomes just as stupid as the rest of them I think being an absolute idiot just comes with the vampire curse
Okay I had hella thoughts about this one. Blossom mostly worships The Mother, and showed her sisters Filianism first. She gets super into The Clear Recital, she has every edition possible to get her hands on. She spends hours researching the history of Madrians. Buttercup mostly worships The Dark Mother, at first just for the edge factor of her name but slowly become really into the idea of God as unknowable force of nature. She also goes hard on witchcraft. Bubbles mostly worships The Daughter. She gets super into the holidays and has a party for every one. She also gets into decorations, rosaries, big elaborate worship altar. She is absolutely the type to buy Mary+Jesus paintings and figurines and just headcanon it as Filianist. She’s also probably into Chelouranya? She does canonically speak japanese after all..
The Powerpuff Girls are Filianists!

being cisgender gives you DOUBLE the points than being a DOCTOR does. also being tall is equivalent to making a million dollars a year.
i want to start critiquing this but id look like a fool doing it. i cant even scratch the surface
