Timon Is Cute As Hell In This Episode Too!!

I’m like… half-watching the rest of Mufasa: TLK now, and I think they just like… verbally confirmed that T&P aren’t an item in this universe.

The audacity lol

(It was the moment where, and I’m paraphrasing here because I can’t be bothered to back the movie up, where Pumbaa is like “love? Gross. It’s not like that’s something I think about all the time and actually really wish I had.”)

And then Timon just pats him on the head.

I actually DO like the idea that they’ve never talked about or labeled their relationship—which is something I’m exploring in my fanfic. There’s an aspect to it about how they finally DO figure their shit out, and how Timon gains a bit of self awareness and emotional maturity for once in his life.

But the fact that THIS MOVIE had the audacity to do that lol

Maybe I’m reading too much into that. Just looking for reasons to be mad because I hate the live action T&P. But yeah, those two barely even feel like friends in this universe.

Do I have any right to actually be mad?!? Probs not. Because it fits my exact headcanon that they haven’t truly defined their relationship until post TLK 2. For me, they (well, Timon, anyways) are so emotionally repressed that they just never discussed it. Ha.

I’m just getting secondhand anger for all you T&P shippers who view them as being openly (and honestly) together as far back as when Simba was a cub.

who are your favorite TLK characters BESIDES Timon and Pumbaa? specifically maybe a lion ( you know... the species the entire franchise is about? /silly )

Well I was going to answer Zazu or Shenzi, but then you said it needed to be a lion so… hmmmmmmm. Probably Nuka? He’s an absolute menace and I love him. I like Vitani too. Weirdly enough, I actually don’t like SP all that much. I’ve watched it the least amount of times out of all the films. It’s mainly due to how T&P were characterized. But I do love the new characters that were added, and the story is fine!

If we are talking specifically the first movie, Sarabi. She is so beautifully designed.

I’m gonna be honest though, I’m not THAT invested in the lions all that much. Like, I do enjoy them, and TLK is my favorite movie of all time, which includes loving every character. I just find myself less intrigued by the lions.

I’m a sucker for morally gray, underdog, anti-heroes, someone who wasn’t destined for greatness by birth, someone who has always had to struggle, someone who’s relatable—which is probably why I’m so obsessed with Timon. ☠️

Aaaaaaand, this is why I always feel like I’m thought of as a fake TLK fan. The fact that I’m not that invested in the lions, that is. 🥲🤣

i've just melted there (I melt and cry every time anyone speaks about Oliver's heart come on) and I have a theory (actually I already have it before the episode) or condider it to be my dream of Oliver acting fatherly with Theo and helping him financially somehow, probably offering him some job at the theatre (Oliver could still be compassionate to Teddy (after a small fight) despite the fact Teddy was sent to prison by him, Teddy threatened him, Teddy slept with his wife, Teddy was the real father of Will which gave Oliver a feeling that the most important part of his life is a lie and he failed and had nothing left, so yes, he is forgiving and Teddy still means a lot to him, so I don't think he can actually be harsher to Theo (despite he kinda kidnapped him once), he understands what make Theo to do what he did, so it wouldn't be out of character to try to fix things up where Teddy spoiled them)

and of Mabel ending up with Theo too
