Rasha Jamal Shamia and her husband, Khalil Abu Samaan, have two children, Mira and Omar. They have been forced to flee their home in Gaza City and are now living in a tent in Rafah, far from everything they once knew. Ahmad was a diligent, ambitious, and creative student who ranked first in his class. He didn't limit himself to what he learned in university. He attended courses and workshops online with Egyptian doctors to learn more and excel in his field. He always sought excellence and worked hard for it, and he loved helping all students.He now needs money to continue his education, which will cost him a lot of money since he will complete his studies in Egypt.

My name is Lena Khames, a 27-year-old wife to my husband, Mohammed, and a proud mother of three beautiful children: our daughter Yasmmen and our two sons, Ali and Adam.

We come from Al-Zahraa in the Gaza Strip. I have a diploma in e-commerce, but our once stable and hopeful life has been shattered by the devastation of war, leaving us struggling to rebuild.

Our world collapsed when a missile targeted our home, reducing it to rubble in an instant 💔. The home we had built with $40,000, a place where we had hoped to raise our children in peace, was completely destroyed. We have been left homeless, with nothing but memories of what we once had.

Our family has been forced to move repeatedly 💔due to the conflict. After being displaced from our home by military force to a supposedly "safe" area, we quickly learned there is no safe place in Gaza. Each time the danger intensified, we had to flee again, struggling to protect our children from the violence that surrounded us. Today, we live in a tent under unbearable conditions, without even the most basic necessities.

In one of the many attacks, my husband, already suffering from a previous injury, was seriously wounded in his leg 💔. He now requires continuous medical care and a special device to help him walk again. To make matters worse, my husband lost his brother Mahmoud in the conflict—his brother died in his arms while they were inspecting the ruins of our home. The emotional and physical pain has weighed heavily on him, and on all of us.

Adding to our burden, my husband also lost his car—the sole source of income for our family— 💔 which had cost him $20,000. This loss has left us without any means of financial support, making it nearly impossible to care for our children and ensure their safety.

I still have hope that this war will end and we will rebuild our beautiful and beloved country again and live in safety. I believe in divine power and justice and that all this pain will go away.

I am trying to endure these difficult conditions that I live in inside a small tent and a bathroom a few meters away from my tent and you know the conditions of diabetics in this case but once again there is still hope. I used to live at the expense of my daughters but with all sadness and regret they have all lost their homes and places of work and they have no source of income left and their situation is like that of any Gazan who is still inside Gaza struggling with death, hunger, diseases and extreme heat each one struggling to feed his children I cannot ask them for help so I have resorted to you and I am fully confident in your humanity to help me so that I can provide food and treatment and provide a better tent than the one I live in because it is torn and the place is full of insects. If I can provide treatment, I want to continue my life and see my grandchildren grow up around me. I don’t want to go now. I know that I don’t have as much life left as I have, but I have the right to live and enjoy this. Please don’t hesitate to help your mother who has come to you with a heavy and sad heart. My name is Ibrahim, 27 years old from Gaza City, Palestine, the eldest of my parents, and this is my family. I have three brothers, three sisters, my brother’s wife and his two children. I am writing this appeal in the hope of saving my family from the incomprehensible horrors that have been happening in Gaza since October.

I was an engineering student, but the ongoing war has shattered my life, my studies, and most tragically, my family’s future.

On October 12, 2023, our house was bombed and completely destroyed. Three of our relatives were killed in the attack. My family of 12 - my parents, my brothers, and my brother’s children - barely escaped with our lives. Since then, we have been displaced several times, fleeing from one place to another under the constant threat of bombing. We have lost everything: our home, our possessions, and the most basic necessities of life.

We are now in Deir al-Balah, living in unbearable conditions, without proper shelter from the winter cold. We have no bedding or blankets to keep warm. Food is scarce and expensive when available. An 11-pound bag of flour costs $350. My father has severe back problems, my mother needs surgery for kidney stones, and the children are sick because of the poor living conditions.

Our fishing boats – our family’s only source of income – were destroyed in the war. Now we have nothing left to rebuild our lives.

Urgent help is needed to save our lives and our families to get out of the war to safety and to have an urgent surgery for my mother and buy medicines for my father. 😥✋⛔
