I am Ibrahim from Gaza, from a family of 3. I have a head injury, my eye was amputated, and there is a bullet in my head that has many complications. I need to receive treatment quickly, but I cannot because of the war on Gaza. The health situation is very difficult, and I need your help to travel outside Gaza and receive treatment, implant a lens in my eye, and remove the bullet that caused the cerebral fluid to bleed from my nose. We have nothing left and are unable to secure our basic needs such as food, water, and safe shelter. I cannot provide clothes for my daughter Shahd, nor can I provide diapers, milk, or anything that will make them forget the harshness of the war and the coming winter, and I am unable to provide for my family’s needs.

On October 7th, our lives changed forever. My family left our home to the southern Gaza Strip on the beach, hoping to return soon. 😭But that did not happen. Our home was surrounded and then completely destroyed. Our home, which was once a bastion of hope, is now in ruins and destruction. Our dreams have been shattered. I appeal to the whole world to hear my sad cries and the cries of my family and my daughter, for whom I cannot provide any of her rights as a child.

We need a helping hand to leave Gaza and receive treatment to implant a lens so that my daughter Shahad can see me in the most beautiful way and remove the bullet from my head that made me suffer a lot. My name is Jaber Al-Haj. I am from Gaza, married to my wife, Menna, and we have a little son named Hashim, who is less than two years old. Like any Palestinian family, we dreamed of a simple and stable life. But the recent war turned our lives upside down. The sounds of explosions never left us, and fear has become part of our daily existence. My son Hashim suffers from health problems that urgently require treatment, but the war has destroyed everything, including the healthcare system, making access to necessary medical care nearly impossible. With each passing day, our suffering deepens, and the fear for Hashim’s health and future consumes me.

Alongside my small family, I used to work with my brothers, Aboud and Bilal, on our joint project—a small lab for producing essential household cleaning products. We started this project with modest resources, dreaming that it would become a source of income to support us and provide job opportunities for our community. But the war left us with nothing. Our lab, which was once filled with life and hard work, was reduced to rubble under the bombardment. We lost our equipment, our livelihood, and with it, a part of our dreams for the future.

Even our home, our only refuge, did not escape the destruction. It was severely damaged and is now uninhabitable. We were forced to flee and live in a tent under harsh conditions unfit for human life. The cold, the heat, the lack of resources, and the absence of privacy have made life nearly unbearable. We try to cope, but every day brings new challenges and suffering.

Today, what worries me the most is my son Hashim's condition. His health is deteriorating, and he desperately needs treatment abroad. However, under the circumstances we’re living in, I lack the means to secure his travel and medical expenses. As a father, there is nothing more heartbreaking than watching my child suffer while being unable to help him.

🎄 Happy new year 🎄 The cruelty and genocide in Gaza spoil the joy of Christmas. My family and I are struggling to live and avoid death on many levels, not just through bombing or the use of lethal weapons. With the onset of winter, living in the open or in tents has become a difficult challenge for us after the bombing destroyed our homes. In the absence of medical and treatment facilities, our suffering in the camps doubles to the point of despair of the possibility of life. These are scenes we see daily on television screens, but their aggravation has turned them into ordinary scenes that do not stir feelings. Therefore, the bombing continues without stopping, and the occupation forces do not find themselves required to stop their practices. Scenes that no longer stir human feelings, especially among politicians who consider them “necessary damages of war.” We hope that the human conscience will awaken from its slumber and rise up for the sake of the hungry in Gaza, and for the lives that are lost daily in the homes and tents that Israeli aircraft destroy without conscience. In the atmosphere of the birth of Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, the leaders and peoples of the West should follow his approach, which is characterized by love, mercy, and providing assistance without expectation, and in this spirit.

People only seem to pay attention to a campaign when something really terrible happens to someone involved, as if living through over a year of genocide isn't enough to open their eyes.
