This powerful image of 9-year-old Mahmoud Ajjour, who lost both arms in an Israeli bombing, was captured by Palestinian photojournalist Samar Abu Elouf, who has just won the World Press Photo Award for it.
As a mother, this photo shattered me — not only because of what Mahmoud has lost, but because I see my own son in him. My children are hungry, weak, and traumatized. We have no food, no clean water, no shelter, and no medical aid. Every day is a fight for survival.

Hey everyone, my name is Abdelmajed, and this is my story.
I grew up in Gaza, a place that was once full of life. I had dreams, hopes, and a deep love for my home. But in a matter of months, everything changed. I lost my home. I lost my sense of security. I lost people I loved more than anything in the world. 💔
People often talk about strength like it’s something you can see—something loud, something powerful. But I’ve learned that true strength is often quiet.
Strength is waking up every morning when you don’t know what the day will bring. Strength is carrying the memories of those you’ve lost, while still choosing to move forward. Strength is believing in a better tomorrow, even when today feels impossible.
I don’t share my story for sympathy. I share it because I know that there is still kindness in this world. I still believe in people, in love, in hope. And I know that no matter what happens, I will keep going. Because that’s what strength really is.
And I'm now waiting to be Vetted by @gazavetters 🙏
Hello dear friends,
I am writing to you with a heart full of gratitude and hope. Over the past few weeks, your support has been overwhelming. Together, we’ve raised an incredible €3031 towards our goal of €20,000, and I cannot express how much this means to my family and me. ❤️🌍
Life here in Gaza has always been filled with challenges, but the current circumstances have made it unimaginably difficult. As some of you know, my family has endured unimaginable losses – 25 of my loved ones were taken by the violence. 💔 Their memory is my driving force to keep moving forward, to survive, and to share our story with the world.
Your generosity – through donations, reblogs, and kind words – has shown me that even in the darkest times, there is light. ✨ Every euro donated, every reblog shared, every message of encouragement has made an impact. You’ve helped us cover basic necessities, keep our spirits alive, and dream of a safer future.
💶 Donate – No matter how small, every euro helps. 👉 https://gofund.me/5ac9124f
🔄 Reblog – Share this post with your followers. Every reblog increases the chance of reaching someone who can help.
📢 Spread the Word – Talk about our story with your friends and family. Awareness is a powerful tool.
To everyone who has already supported us: Thank you from the depths of my heart. ❤️ Your kindness gives me hope and strength to face each day. You are not just helping my family survive; you are reminding us that we are not alone in this fight.
Together, we can reach the goal of €20,000, and with your help, we will. Please keep sharing, keep donating, and keep believing in the power of compassion. 🌈💖
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
With love and gratitude, Mosab 🕊️
Hello, It's Momen Al Madhoun, writing from the most miserable area in the whole world, I am deeply thankful to all of you. Your support means the world to my family
🍉🍉🍉 I urgently plead you to keep sharing our campaign with your friends, family, and acquaintances
15 months have passed as if it were 15 years, and suffering increasing day after day 😔 Our health is decaying, we have NO IMMUNITY to fight diseases. No healthy food to feed our worn cells. Finding a quiet, clean place for us to get some rest is IMPOSSIBLE! I'm in urgent need of serious financial support so that I can take action and save my family! Our faces speak the misery we're going through! my children can't bear the ruthlessness of war life… pain and cold does not allow either of them to sleep 💔
I found in drawing a way to relieve stress and describe what we are experiencing, but even this i was deprived of, due to the difficulty of obtaining good internet and electricity for a sufficient time If you are interested in art, you can check I my blog I and find my artworks, i hope you will share them and support me to continue fighting and trying Every share and donation brings us one step closer to saving my family's lives. Your support, no matter how small, holds the power to rescue my loved ones from grave danger There are no words can describe how many times we have been displaced The situation we're living now is really hard to imagine Where do we Go?
Imagine the vastness of this universe, we cannot escape to a safe place far from the war

“My Story: A Boy Fighting for His Family”
My name is Ahmed, and I am 15 years old. I never thought I would have to carry the weight of my entire family, but here I am, fighting every day to keep them alive.
We lost my father in the war. He went out one day to find food for us because we were starving. It was dangerous, but he had no choice. He never came back. He was injured and bled to death because there was no one to help him. Our neighbors found his body and buried him because we couldn’t even afford a proper burial. That day, we lost everything—our protector, our provider, and our hope.
Now, it’s up to me. I am the eldest son, and I have to take care of my mother, my twin brother Ahmed Abed, and my two little sisters. Every morning, I go out to find work. I earn barely $1 or $2 a day, which isn’t enough to buy bread for all of us. My brother started working too, but it’s the same for him. We rely on bread and whatever humanitarian aid we can get, but it’s never enough.
Winter is here, and it’s freezing. We don’t have warm clothes, blankets, or even a heater. We lost everything in the war, and the little we have now is falling apart. We live in a rented apartment, and the landlord is pressuring us for rent we can’t pay. I don’t know what will happen to us if he throws us out.
I want my brother to become a doctor. It’s my biggest dream. I want him to help people, to save lives, because no one was there to save our father. I’m ready to sacrifice everything—my childhood, my education, even my life—if it means my family can survive and my brother can have a future.
Please, if you’re reading this, help us. We don’t have much time. My family needs food, warmth, and a safe place to live. I just want to see my mother and sisters smile again, and I want my brother to have a chance to achieve his dream. You can be the reason we survive. You can be the hope we desperately need.

Jamal Shamia, Iam a criminal lawyer, lam suffering of many diseases hypertension and diabetic mellitus and Muscle spasms and always got shocked and coma .
Unfortunately, I was injured in the war and suffered a very serious injury, which was a blood clot in the hip joint area, which caused him many infections and the infection spread in the area. is currently in Gaza, and my home was destroyed at the beginning of the war. We have lost security and peace. We have witnessed how a single rocket can destroy your entire life, both your past and your future. Our dreams have been shattered. Now the future is unknown and dark. There is no home, no basic life essentials, no job. We are now seeking to leave this country for a life abroad and to obtain security. We estimate our loss to be at least $50,000 to rebuild a home and start our lives anew.
My wife, Mufida, is 62 years old. She traveled before the war to have surgery on her eye alone, and now she is stuck on the Egyptian side. She has no breadwinner and needs many medications and medical supplies.
After that, she suffered a broken hand due to the lack of necessary care for her. I want to collect money to go to her and support her.
Rasha Jamal Shamia and her husband, Khalil Abu Samaan, have two children, Mira and Omar. They have been forced to flee their home in Gaza City and are now living in a tent in Rafah, far from everything they once knew. Their home, their children’s education, and their future—everything is gone. Their days are filled with fear, and their nights bring no rest. The constant sound of bombs haunts them, and they have no way to provide their children with the life they deserve
Ahmad Jamal Shamia resides in Gaza and is a third-year student in dental school. He lost his education due to the devastating war in Gaza. He was studying at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, and his home was destroyed in the war. He is currently suffering from moving from one temporary shelter to another. Ahmad was a diligent, ambitious, and creative student who ranked first in his class. He didn't limit himself to what he learned in university. He attended courses and workshops online with Egyptian doctors to learn more and excel in his field. He always sought excellence and worked hard for it, and he loved helping all students. He now needs money to continue his education, which will cost him a lot of money since he will complete his studies in Egypt.

Save My Family from the War Nightmare in Gaza🚨🚨
،🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
Hello I am Mohammad Tayseer, 34 years old, Palestinian living in Gaza. I am married to Basma Ramez, and we have two children: Jude, who is 4 years old, and yazan, who is 2 and a half years old.
Our life was normal and full of optimism, and we had big ambitions.I worked in smartphone programming at City Phone. I was happy with my job, and our dreams were focused on building a bright and beautiful future for our children. We had a large, beautiful home that sheltered us, full of many wonderful memories.
But suddenly, without any warning, war destroyed everything beautiful in our lives. Our home was demolished by a missile, leaving nothing behind, and my company was also damaged. I lost my job, and we became homeless and without income.
Pictures of a house when it is partially destroyed
Pictures of the house after it was hit by a missile and completely destroyed
We tried to flee more than five times to safer areas in search of security, but safety in Gaza has become nearly impossible. Death and destruction are everywhere, and our children live in a constant nightmare. Opportunities for education and entertainment have vanished, and basic necessities are scarce. We live in poverty and despair.
We are now seeking a chance to live in a safe place outside of Gaza. However, our only hope now is to escape this ongoing hell and find a safe haven for our family. This requires significant financial costs, as border crossing fees amount to $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child, a sum I cannot afford on my own.
Every donation, no matter the amount, whether $10 or $20, will have a significant impact on our lives. Your contributions will help cover the costs of travel and living in a safe country. We hope to start a new life away from fear and destruction and give our children a new opportunity to dream and hope. Our children deserve to live in safety

Hello, My name is Mosab Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and I’m writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.
The ongoing war has devastated my family. We’ve lost 25 family members—each one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeply—their laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.

We are now facing daily challenges to survive—things that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.
💔 Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income. 🍞 Basic Needs: Food and water are becoming harder to afford with rising prices and scarce resources. 📚 Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my family’s dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive. 😢 Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.
I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $5 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.
Your kindness, no matter how small, is something we’ll never forget.
Your support is not about changing our entire situation—it’s about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you can’t donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.
Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.
With all our gratitude, Mosab Elderawi and Family ❤️
