Sorry for the rant but...

I am so sick of "self-aware" fics that ignore the self aware aspect. If the reader is an actual god and not a player of whatever game you're writing for, THEN THAT'S A CULT AU. Why tf do you think it's called self-aware au??? I personally adore fics where characters think Player is a god and worship them, in fact, that's my favourite fic trope! It's just sad that most recent works for hsr and genshin tagged self aware don't actually feature self aware characters. Of course, this is not an attack on anyone who writes these fics, I just think those should be another category of fic altogether.
