I believe in KuboYumeKai supremacy. But in the way that Kaidou is dating Chiyo and Aren, but Chiyo and Aren aren’t dating each other. At first.

At first they’re both fighting for Kaidou’s affection and then he confesses to both of them saying he wants them both in his life romantically. And upon the realization, they get over it and agree they’d both date him because as long as he’s happy, they are.

Over time, they start hanging out with each other more and more (neither one of them has any ill will towards the other).

Aren falls first, but he doesn’t notice and he has stupid internal monologues about the whole situation. “Why is my heart still beating so fast around her? Could it be.. I still hold a disdain towards her?” and stupid shit like that. But within a few weeks, when they’re all cuddling and Kaidou has already fallen asleep between them, Aren meets Chiyo’s gaze and they’re locked in the other’s eyes staring at each other for who knows how long.

Chiyo is internally freaking out because Aren looks so pretty right now and she doesn’t know why she’s just noticing that now— or even at all actually. Against all her own better judgement, Chiyo parts her lips to let some whispered words slip through.

“Hey, Aren?”

He hums in response. A light hum that wraps itself around her head and lingers in her ears, replaying it in her mind over and over again. And her body moves on instinct, still careful not to wake the sleeping teen between the two, and she kisses him.

Now her mind is running wild with panic and even more-so as she realizes Aren is kissing back. And she opens her eyes just a bit to take in one last look only to find out Aren’s eyes are closed. Well, not only closed but his face seems relaxed, more relaxed than she has ever seen it. And he seems happy.. content with what’s currently happening. So maybe Chiyo should be content too. And just live in this moment.

Being a Saikik fanartist is really cool and all…

But after deciding to draw Aren on his motorcycle I ended up doing way more research than intended while trying to find out which motorbike he rides and ending up falling into a rabbit hole on the history of the Bōzōzoku biker gangs of Japan ( similar to American greasers or British rockers ) and watching multiple documentaries only to change Aren’s canon bike to a modded mix mash of various old Suzuki bikes except still after all that I have no clue how to draw the engine.

Anyways here’s a photo of the the bike, I haven’t actually drawn Aren yet but we’ll get there. Also I may or may not animate it a bit:)

Something a bit sad to think about though is that Bōsōzoku culture was dying when Aren was in his gang because saikik is vaguely set in 2010 and that’s when there was a major decline so he was never there for the peak of Bōsōzoku culture so it most likely wasn’t all too enjoyable. I imagine it’s kind of like being in a dying fandom if you were to try to make it more relatable.

Just a heads up: they weasel out of giving a handful of characters full names. Mrs. Kaidou, Matsuzaki, and others will sadly have to continue to be mysterious...

The book was published August 4th, 2015, before Chapter 159 was released. Notable characters missing: Satō Hiroshi, Suzumiya Hii, Akechi Tōma, Aiura Mikoto

(I tried to stick to ONE romanization system despite the fandom often using different systems at once [for example: Nendo vs Nendou vs Nendō], so if the spellings are "off", that might be why. Or I could have screwed up in some unrelated way. I don't know Japanese very well lmao)

UGHH!!!

tysm for speaking out for me, I literally hate that people consider Kaidou to he someone pretty basic and plane just because I'm the anime he is frequently used to a joke about "delusions" and more, but if you play more attention to the character then you'll realize he's more than that.

Just because he doesn't has a really rough past like others (Kuboyasu, Saiki, Akechi and Toritsuka, even more)

Even when he's the most "normal" about them doesn't mean he's a plain character without personality, hell, his whole character representation gives too much to analice and his character development is really well written.

People need to stop criticizing his character because of his whole "jet black wings" joke and persona.

Kaidou's character is really deep and complex and really fun to play around idk what y'all talking about, I could ramble about him for hours.

And I also hate his twink uwu soft boy or extremely silly /traumatized fanon version, still is complex, still is hard to understand
