Who's willing to bet that this is Kano Yoshimasa of Japan?
Replayed TH:M to get the highest score possible… Princess of Monaco Marguerite? Its plain to see, darling…
Note: Hello, again. The idea for this short Kamilah x MC story popped into my mind a few days ago and I wanted to try my hand at writing it. Hehe.
Her hands trembled as she stepped out of the elevator and made her way to the door of Kamilah's apartment.
Before she could even raise her hand to knock, the door swung open to reveal the vampire standing behind it.
"Amy. Come in." Kamilah said as she stepped to the side to let the blonde enter.
"Thanks." Amy made her way inside until she sat herself at the end of the leather sofa in the middle of the room.
She watched silently as Kamilah made her way to the bar.
"Would you like a drink?"
"I'm good. No, thanks."
The mortal watched as the vampire filled one glass with red wine and drank from it. She consumed all of the contents before setting the glass down and shifting her gaze to the blonde.
"Thank you for coming here. I needed to speak with you."
Kamilah walked over to the couch and sat next to Amy, keeping a certain distance between them.
The blonde gripped the leather cushion. "Okay. What about?"
Kamilah took a breath. "I... want to apologize. And to explain."
Amy's eyes widened in confusion. "What?"
Kamilah looked at her with earnest eyes and Amy could see guilt in them.
"I know that I haven't... been paying much attention to you lately. I know that we haven't really spent time together. And I want to apologize for that.
"Ever since we learned that Gauis has returned, I couldn't stop thinking about how we are all in danger. If he succeeds, if he accomplishes all of his goals - the consequences would be beyond anything that we could even imagine.
"I've been so pre-occupied with planning precautions and gathering information... to the point that I've ignored everything else. Including you."
The vampire tentatively and gently placed her hand on top of Amy's.
"I'm sorry."
The blonde let out a relieved sigh that she didn't know that she was holding.
"Kamilah..." she released her grip on the couch to hold the vampire's hand.
"I get it. Don't get me wrong, I really do get it. I understand that stopping Gauis is everyone's top priority right now. So, I can understand that all of you are busy.
"But, I have to admit that the cold shoulder treatment really stung."
"'Cold shoulder treatment'?" Kamilah asked, brows furrowed in confusion.
"It means that you've been ignoring me."
"Ah."
"Listen. I don't mean to sound clingy or anything. It's just that I feel as if I've been forgotten. I know that you're not exactly open in public or big on PDA, but you've been acting as if I'm nothing but a stranger to you." The mortal woman looked down at their joined hands.
"Oh, Amy." Kamilah's voice was laced with regret.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel that way."
A smile started to form on the blonde's face but it suddenly disappeared when she looked up to see that Kamilah was forlornly looking at the carpetted floor.
"What's wrong?" She prompted.
Kamilah briefly looked at their joined hands and pulled hers away and Amy's hand suddenly felt cold.
"I haven't been completely honest with you." She turned away from the blonde completely. "There's another reason for the... 'cold shoulder treatment'."
Amy's stomach suddenly started to curl with dread. "What do you mean?"
The vampire was silent as she collected her thoughts. After a moment that felt like eternity, she met her eyes once more.
"I feel... afraid."
That was not the response that Amy was expecting. "Afraid? Of what?"
Kamilah sighed before moving to stand up. Amy watched as she made her way to the wall-sized glass window.
"I've been alive for more than two thousand years. And I've done many things. Things... that I'm not proud of. Things that I eventually came to regret."
She paused for a brief moment before continuing.
"Some of them are unspeakable. And I wish that there was a way that I could undo them."
She finally turned towards the blonde. Kamilah's face was fraught with both apprehension and sadness.
"You're a bloodkeeper. You have the ability to see every single memory of every single vampire. You are able to witness everything that we ourselves have witnessed. And..."
It was then that Amy understood.
"... I'm afraid. Afraid that you'll hate me for what I had done once you see my memories."
For a while, the mortal could only look at the vampire in surprise and in shock.
The silence eventually became too much for Kamilah to bear. "Amy... Say something." Her tone carried a silent plea.
Her words seem to have awaken the blonde from her stupor.
"Oh, Kamilah."
Amy made her way to the vampire and took the latter's hands in hers.
"Listen to me. Whatever you did before doesn't matter."
The blonde began stroking the vampire's hands with her thumbs.
"Whoever you were in the past is not who you are right now. If you say that you regret the things that you did in the past, then I believe you."
Kamilah's eyes widened slightly in disbelief. "You do?"
Amy gripped her hands even more firmly as a form of reassurance.
"Yes. I do. Because I've seen for myself how much you care about the people close to you. I've seen how determined you are when it comes to doing what you think is right and best for everyone.
"I've seen how good you are, Kamilah. You're strong, brilliant, and you want to do what's right. The Kamilah of the past doesn't matter. The only Kamilah that matters is the one that's standing right in front of me."
The younger woman watched as Kamilah took a shaky and uneven breath. A relieved smile started to form on her lips.
"Amy..." The relief was apparent in her voice. "You have no idea how glad I am to hear you say that." Her smile grew even wider.
The blonde mortal gave a laugh. She closed her eyes until tears started to spill from them.
The vampire noticed and became alarmed. "Why are you crying?" She brought one hand to the weeping girl's cheek.
The woman gave her a watery smile. "Honestly, Kamilah, I'm just relieved that our conversation turned out the way that it did."
"You are? Why?"
"Because I..." she sniffled, "I thought that you called me here because you wanted to end things between us."
Kamilah instantly took the other woman's face in both her hands in response.
"Oh, Amy." She placed a kiss on her forehead. "I would never want that." She looked into her brown eyes. "You mean a great deal to me. And I'm sorry for making you think and feel otherwise."
Amidst the tears, Amy gave her a bright and sincere smile. "You mean a lot to me too, Kamilah." She rested her hands on top of the vampire's. "You mean so much to me."
The two smiled at each other before meeting together for a kiss that melted all their worries, doubts and apprehensions away.
Honestly love your Kamilah posts with the screenshots they’re just *chefs kiss* mwah perfection! 🥰👌👩🏻🍳
Hello! Sorry for taking a while to reply. Thank you! I'm glad that you like my posts. :)
So, in the finale of BloodBound, Kamilah finally got her garden and the peace that she always wanted.
And she also gets an eternity of happiness and married bliss with the MC, her greatest love.
My Kamilah x MC shipping heart is happy!

Following the BloodBound saga was a journey. Admittedly, I expected something else (and more) from the finale, but nonetheless, I still enjoyed the series!
And now we have to bid goodbye to the vampire gang and the Vampire Queen known as Kamilah Sayeed. Thanks for all the adventures, BB crew!
Hello. I just noticed that some of my posted stories contain typos and other grammatical errors. I apologize for that. I should review my stories more thoroughly before posting them. My apologies. :(
The dialogue...
The power she exudes... (we got to see the sexy red eyes again!)
Conclusion: Kamilah is one of the best LIs ever!
BONUS:
This is proof that Kamilah is tall! I've always pictured her as being taller than the MC. Hehe.
This is like another version of: "You're cute when you're mad." This comment could make people think that Yami Marik is interested in Ishizu.
On the left: The MC during the moment before she parted with Kamilah in Chapter 6. During the said moment, the MC promised Kamilah that they'd have more intimate moments together.
On the right: Kamilah during the moment she reunited with the MC in Chapter 9. During their reunion, Kamilah promised that the two of them would never be apart again.
I love the parallelism.
I’m trying to see something here
I know that some fans and Kamilah stans felt disappointed or perhaps even angry when the vampire queen talked to the MC about Gaius in the diamond scene. And I understand. But personally, I think that this particular scene is important because it portrays a significant turning point in Kamilah and the MC's relationship. It also showcases development and growth on Kamilah's part as a character.
But before I delve into the analysis proper, I would just like to say that I think that it’s important for Kamilah and the MC to properly address the former's past relationship with Gaius. This is because I believe that if she and the MC are ever going to have a serious relationship, they both must be open and honest with each other. In addition, I think that they also need to accept hard-to-swallow facts about one another for them to have a stable, healthy, and trusting relationship.
So, with that being said, I will now proceed to my analysis of the scene:
Gaius's return has obviously shaken Kamilah. She expressed that his return also brought back memories of her violent past – memories of her past deeds, which she eventually came to regret.
Kamilah is haunted not just by her former lover's return, but also by feelings of regret and guilt over her past actions. She described her past self as a monster that thrived on bloodlust. On this, Kamilah stated that after several centuries of being such a monster, she eventually came to realize the error of her ways. As such, she decided to reinvent herself by changing for the better.
And as a way of doing so, Kamilah chose to deny herself any form of meaningful pleasure or joy as a form of penance and atonement. Having committed so many atrocities in her long life, Kamilah had come to think that she does not deserve true happiness.
The above-mentioned established facts show that in the present storyline, Kamilah is internally struggling with her past and her feelings of guilt and self-resentment. Gaius's return painfully reminded her of what she used to be and how she actually enjoyed committing terrible things. She also seems troubled and horrified at the fact that she genuinely loved Gaius even though she's always known of his dark and monstrous nature. Such an internal struggle is exceedingly burdensome, and to keep it to oneself is damaging - both emotionally and mentally, in the long run.
This is why it is essential to express one's problems and struggles to others who they can trust. On this, Kamilah opening up to the MC was a significant defining point in their relationship. The act of sharing and unloading her inner turmoil to the latter must have taken great courage on Kamilah's part. This is because, for a very, very long time, Kamilah has shut herself away from most people. She admitted that her coldness and flippancy serve both as forms of atonement and as shields to protect her from getting hurt. But by sharing her internal struggles, Kamilah let her guard down and allowed herself to become exposed and vulnerable to the MC. This is an indicator that she feels comfortable with and that she trusts the other woman. After all, people, in general, do not share their deepest and most difficult troubles with just anyone.
This scene illustrates Kamilah's growth as a character. She no longer feels the constant need to shut everyone out. She also no longer feels that she must bear her burdens alone. She is slowly but surely starting to reach out to others and to form meaningful relationships again. And she is currently establishing such a relationship with the MC. Additionally, she has also started to allow herself to feel joy whenever she is with the latter.
On the MC's part, in the story, she has tried and continues to try her best to understand and support Kamilah. In this particular diamond scene, she helped the vampire process her feelings and struggles so that the latter can feel more at peace with herself. She also expressed that she understands that the vampire is now an entirely different and better person compared to who she was before. On this, it's worth noting that the MC has never shown fear or resentment towards Kamilah despite having already seen some of her darker memories. This indicates that the MC honestly does acknowledge that the vampire has genuinely changed.
All in all, their relationship is a slow and steady burn. In the storyline, Kamilah is slowly starting to become more open, and she is also gradually allowing the MC to see more of her vulnerable side. She has also already started to become more expressive about her concern and feelings for the mortal woman. And on her part, the MC has been and continues to be patient. While she occasionally tries to coax Kamilah into sharing her feelings, she doesn't push the vampire into doing so if the latter does not feel comfortable. This shows that she respects Kamilah's boundaries. And whenever Kamilah is willing to share, the MC has demonstrated that she is always ready to listen and to offer words of comfort and encouragement.
